β β β β β We love the food. The children like kuetiaw sup. My husband likes curry mee. but u must come early. Always full house. U can't just jump in and hope to be served within 5 minutes. Not for those who are extremely hungry???

β β β β β Open from 7am until 12noon...It's always packed on weekends & public holidays...The stall selling satay (yeah, morning, not evening or night time) & soto is worth trying out... I like my fried flat noodle (char koay teow) dry... there's a fried noodles stall, Malay traditional kuih stall, roti canai/murtabak stall, roti telur goyang stall, mi kicap/soup with fish balls stall & drinks...on Sunday, go for breakfast first before going for the Sunday morning market...food can be sold out by 10am

β β β β β My go-to place for yummy mee kari bowl every time I go back to Ipoh. The fishballs and fishcakes were home-made, so they were extra sweet and bouncy. Coupled that with the kuah kari...heaven! I always go for kuey teow (extra) kari with extra ikan (that's what they call the fishballs and fishcakes). The mee kicap with soup is yummy, too. While there, don't forget to order from the side stalls. The telur goyang was always perfectly done and the roti canai is extra fluffy and tasty. Yumms!!

β β β β β Said to be the best mee kari in ipoh. Place is quite packed, carpark is scarce limited. Have other food as well like fried wantan mee satay and other fried items. Mee kari was good but have tasted better. Price is reasonable. Place is clean and well placed to let quite a number of people to sit comfortably. The tables could use some replacements as mine was with a damaged surface so my bowl is not stable and even so eating the curry is a challenge. Drinks are good. Went there during breakfast. So if u want curry mee for breakfast can drop by here. Overall nice place with good food.

β β β β β This is the legendary place where Kak Yah made her base, after moving from her original stall at Medan Kidd...For Ipoh city dwellers, mee kari Kak Yah is synanymous with excellent and delicious chinese food, but prepared by the malays..Kak Yah herself could be of chinese decent, looking at how she and her children look..My favorite dish is, and has always the kweyteow goreng special, together with clear fish ball soup in a separate bowl..wowww, yummyyy!!!??? You cant find anything even close to this dish in KL, no matter how hard you try!!
These days, the stall is managed by her children, as Kak Yah has earned her well deserved retirement...but the legend of Kak Yah will always remain in our heart and mind, as a true success story of hard work and sheer determination...Thats why we will always drop by here for breakfast whenever we come back to Ipoh..and bring along some friends...???
