★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rather impressed with the setup of the interior. Like the classic touch. I like the texture of the egg tart. The taste of the salted egg was not very strong. The herbal jelly dessert was superb. Definitely worth dropping by but be warn that seats are limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We entered Ming Xiang Tao Pastry shop from the back door. It’s a showcase of a heritage pastry shop with heritage tools for making pastries...a cozy little museum as I wished to describe it. Try buying their signature pastries...get the staff to recommend the popular pastries and the rankings for them. We bought the first till third favourite pastries sold and were happy with their recommendation. There are few tables for eat-in customers and we would like to try the other pastries and home brewed tea in our next visit. Oh, don’t forget to take a selfie or wefie with your phone behind the shop backlane ...a special camera stand was attached to the wall for photos seekers! A generous and creative shop to build such for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We especially love the salted egg pastry. Each piece contains a whole egg yolk, sinfully delicious.
They do sell other pastries including grandma biscuit, egg tarts. They sell herbal and nourishing drinks like herbal tea, chrysanthemum tea and others.
I bought back the salted egg pastry for friends and everyone only had praises for them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very unique traditional biscuit / pastry shop. The selection of drinks, eggs, biscuit is mostly traditional taste and combination. The whole shop design is unique and nice. Most of it are antique things, from the shop from till the end is more than 100 feet, it's full with antique things. You can pay a visit to the toilet, then u can see everything by yourself

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried a variety of their freshly baked pastries. Contrary to the positive reviews here, I find the quality disappointing (after trying spore and HK versions)
Wife biscuit - pastry way too hard and not the melt in mouth type that you find from those HK brands. It’s also not fragrant enough. Winter melon filling taste is ok but not soft enough(almost feel lump of thick gel)
Other pastry type - pastry skin thick and rock hard, almost like biscuit hard texture.
Although the shop looks nice and traditional, it’s a pity that the same can’t be said for the pastry quality.
In fact, many normal pastry shops out there could have done a better job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Chinese pastry. My personal favourite is the chicken floss pastry. The pandan salted egg pastry is very delicious too!
They also sell drinks and other snacks too. A perfect place for tea time in town.
Love their souvenir gift box as it looks very presentable.
