Nalanda Institute has played a very important role in my life during PhD in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). I was completely alone in Malaysia, I found Nalanda and started reading books and meditation. Every evening at 7 pm, I used to meditate followed by reading the book for half an hour. Today I am mentally fit because of meditation and my English improved because of Nalanda library. Many times I was completely beyond the decision capacity, thus I sat there and left my worries to Bhagwan Buddha. I used to walk before the temple, I had faith that vibration of Bhagwan Buddha is recharging me. In a real sense, I graduated from UPM but educated from Nalanda. Sukhino hontu!!

A must visit if you are interested in visiting: a serene Buddhist place and a must to learn how the organization is spreading the Dhaama to our next generations. One of the trappings of Buddhism is in the education and the growth of our next generations. From my personal experiences of visiting the center; conversations and hearing a Sunday Dhamma talk by Bro Tan, I came with a renew sense of hope. The organization has a more "lay centric" approach to spreading the Dhamma to the general populations. It's focus is a holistic family approach and especially gaining foothold into the younger generations. From my 20 years of limited experience of trying to bring the Dhamma to the next generations (not very successfully in US), this organization seemed to be heading in a very positive direction. May they continue their success! Sadu! Sadu! Sadu!

The Nalanda Buddhist Society had their Family Fun Fair on Saturday, 5 August 2018. I first visited this fair several years ago and I must say the fair was still as well-managed and successful as ever. The fair was quite big with plenty of stalls selling food, clothes, health products, durian, coffee and other beverages and many more products. There were performances on the stage. Public toilets were also provided at the side of the field where the fair was held. Nalanda’s personnel were everywhere, courteous, helpful and working diligently. I was pretty impressed!

This place has everything a person needs to start his life's meaningful journey. The emphasis on education will ensure that one lands his first foot on the most authentic and correct path. Along the way, in a stepwise manner, the practice is laid down one thin layer at a time, based on one's willingness to step up and move on to higher levels. There are enough opportunities too, for the selfless service. Those who has such altruistic tendencies will find it quite a palateful, as they can indulge in a plethora of events, courses, sessions, etc to lend their services, time and skills to. What is most important is the very strong objective and affinity towards teaching and educating (those that are inclined to receive the dhamma), and also to rediscover the original scriptures, that include the essence and the true BuddhaDhamma, as what The Buddha taught over 2500 years ago. To "wanderers" who wish to just have a glimpse, as well as spiritual beings that intend dive deep-end first, this place will be more than capable to fulfill these needs. The motto of inviting self investigation is very much alive here Ehi passiko, Avuso
