It is known across Indonesia as Nasi Padang, after the city of Padang the capital of West Sumatra province. Nasi Padang (Padang-style rice) is a miniature banquet of meats, fish, vegetables, and spicy sambals eaten with plain white rice, it is Sumatra's most famous export and the Minangkabau people's great contribution to Indonesian cuisine.
A Padang restaurant is usually easily distinguishable with their Rumah Gadang style facade and their typical window display. Nasi Padang window display in front of restaurant usually consists of stages and rows of carefully arranged stacked bowls and plates, constructed and filled with various dishes. A Padang restaurant, especially small-to-medium ones, will also usually bear names in Minang language.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place for Nasi Padang.. I took sambal tempe, paru sambal and ikan keli goreng berlado.. all is good.. the price is normal for all Nasi Padang I guess.. ?? there is also raw tempoyak for those who loveeee tempoyak so much like my family.. not so many parking available during lunch..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food and lots of choices, from fish to beef. The rendang beef is a must try if you love beef. Beef tendon that is hard to get this days, it's there. Beef Dinding, not the best but it's satisfying. You have all type of fried fish that goes well with the sambals they served, all of it are good. If you like nasi padang, please visit this place when you are visiting JB.
