★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time coming to this store. Friendly staff. I had first contacted them thru FB messenger before coming to the store. My question was could I brought my own frame to which they answered yes.
The day that I went to the store, the lady gave me a fair warning in the risk of my type of frame. She said around 1 over 10 would break during installation. I suspected this has to do with your frame built quality. I'm using Quarkers TR-101 which in my opinion is quite solid for price of RM 179.
My power was 400(R) and 425(L). I had opted for Hoya HVLL Index 1.67 (thinnest lens for my case) with BlueControl coating (Digital device protection) and Sensity Dark (Should darken as well during driving).
You would need to add additional RM 50 for BlueControl coating (per lens) and RM 80 for Sensity Dark (per lens). Regular Sensity would not incur any additional cost. There are 3 types of Sensity lens. Sensity, Sensity Dark and Sensity Shine.
Total that I had to pay for my lens was RM 1830.(I think I had rcvd some discount because I remember the initial price included with my requested coating should bring me to little over RM 2,000). Since mine is a custom order which falls as Hoya RX, I had to wait for 7 working days for the lens to be manufactured. (Price is transparent for Hoya Lens because they have a catalogue with price in it).
Hoya RX would come with their authenticity card as proof. Ready made Hoya lens does not. (This was informed by Hoya staff that I contacted at FB). My previous lens was also from Hoya but without Blue coating and photochromic features and thicker lens. That lasted me for 10 years. The only reason I'm getting new one because the nose pad broke.
