I was diagnosed with Keratoconus (irregular cornea). My eyes still can see clear as today. Before this, I spent a lot money on glasses but that does not help my vision. I still seeing blur with glasses. I was told by an eye doctor(I still believe there are good eye doctors, but not this) in nearby country, that my eyes are hopeless, even corneal transplant will eventually go blind. Finally I got my eyes mapped out (corneal mapping) and slit lamp microscope to determine my stage of condition, then proceed to fit Keratoconus lens at ODEX Optometrists(Johor Bahru, Malaysia). I was told to have my cornea examined regularly to avoid the condition get worse (vision can be very bad if stop the treatment) Today, I still can see clear with my eyes and my condition under controlled from the corneal mapping results and slit lamp microscope

I must say that I'm a nice customer but guys, do your every best to avoid this shop! Our family has been supporting this shop since 20 years ago and we decided not to support them anymore after our recent unpleasant experience with the unprofessional staffs. We feel that there is a need to share about our experience so that you guys don't have to go through the pain and hassle that we went through. My father's myopia degree has increased and he decided to get 2 new pairs of speactacles from ODEX. We were warned by our neighbour about her bad experience with this shop - she did her spectacles and the specs did not match with her exact power. She went back for a second eye check, paid for another pair of specs and sadly, the specs still do not match her power and her vision was still blurry. Thinking that this might be an one-off incident, we neglected our neighbour's advice and proceeded to buy 2 pairs of spectacles from ODEX, after the so-called professional eye check and consultation. However, my father's vision was still blurry after wearing the new specs, and the blurred vision has strained his eyes and led to giddiness and migraine. My father tried to "adapt" to the new specs for a week but the blurry vision has brought many inconveniences in his daily life. We went back to ODEX and did a second eye check (literally what our neighbour has experienced!) and the boss commented the problem lies on my father's eyes and he advised us to do a thorough eye check at eye specialist. At that point of time, we believed in the boss' "professional" advice and was really worried about my father's eyes. We made an appointment with eye specialist immediately and did the check up on the next day. We spent RM210 for a thorough and complete eye check, and the eye specialist confirmed that my father's eyes are very healthy and there is no underlying health issue with both eyes. The specialist advised that the power of the glasses was wrongly prescribed and he wrote a referal letter for ODEX to make amendment accordingly. We brought the letter to ODEX and they made amendment to the specs accordingly, without any apology for all the mistakes that they have made. Guys, the story didn't stop here! My father wore the amended specs but his vision was still blurry to the extend that he couldn't have a clear vision on TV and the road while driving. We went back to ODEX again and the staff said another round of amendment is required. I couldn't believe that the previously adjusted specs are still not matching with my father's degree, what a joke?! The worst part is, none of the staff has apologized to us for the series unbelievable mistakes they've made, and they requested for additional charge on the 3rd amendment of the specs (which might not be the last amendment). The staff emphasized that the problem lies on my father's eyes, not their specs. Hello ODEX, we have done a thorough eye check at eye specialist and there is no way that you can get away easily using this excuse. We are truly disappointed with their unprofessional service and irresponsible attitude. Just buy your spectacles elsewhere and don't come here.
