★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of expectation. Sushi came in a small portion, don’t used to like sushi king that much but they serve bigger portions. Soba soup is tasteless, I can only taste the egg; same goes to Oyako Don, sauce is less and chicken is tasteless as well. Haven’t come for quite a while, but this is quite disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Same menu as Sushi Zanmai and either shorter or no queue which is good. Nothing much to comment as I frequent Zanmai often and this place provides exactly the same food. In terms of quality, I had the chicken karaage don and it is good and tasty as usual, just like Zanmai. Staffs were friendly and attentive too. I’ll come here just to avoid the long queue at Zanmai.

We ordered a salad with zanmai dressing, and they served it in a bowl, and we realised that half of the bowl is water, inform staff the problem and the staff was like “err ya.. today too much water dy...” and the staff told the chef and the chef act like nothing. Staff keep chit chatting loudly at the open kitchen area while preparing the food without wearing mask. First time not finishing the food, worst experience ever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here during water shortage. I understand that there maybe a struggle with the cooking, but the chef (the biggest size) was not hesitate to show his anger to the waitress. It is an open kitchen, and being seated at the bar counter, it was not pleasant dining experience seeing that at all. Kindly take note that customers are watching.
Food wise is rather disappointing, could be due to the water shortage. But honestly disappointed.

We visited the restaurant during night time, since the kitchen is an open kitchen, we can see everything clearly from our side, chef is not wearing mask when they preparing the food and keep saying bad words and talking loudly in front of customer. SERIOUSLY??? And one of the chef sneak a taste of the sushi while he is preparing it for customer. One of the chef (biggest size) blow his nose at the kitchen bar (at the basin area) loudly while customer still having their food as well. Please educate your staff nicely, worst experience I ever had. Probably my last time to visit this outlet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious japanese sushi + ramen! Shrimp was tasty and mushroom is fresh. Price was on the high side as portion served was rather small. Environment very stuffy. Air-cond not cold enough. Not so comfortable dining experience.

Food was mostly not up to par. Chicken dumplings over cooked and the skin was mushy. Udon soup lacked taste. Fried chicken rice had soggy chicken. Only enjoyed the California hand roll and inari was good.
Service was pretty good, one of the better Japanese restaurants.
The prices were high and portions very small. The eel pieces were tiny and the fried chicken rice was mostly rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place to go for simple but tasty Japanese food at affordable prices. This place has been consistently serving tasty food. I have never been disappointed with poor servings here. They serve warm or iced water without forcing you to buy pricey mineral water. Truly a gentleman restaurant. I find myself keep coming back because of simplicity and tasty.
