Nur Popia Basah. One of the best popiah in Penang. Open at 1pm-5pm. The popiah fills with scramble eggs, fried shallots, sekuang, sambal and salad. It will be serve with sengkuang gravy. If you don't like your popiah soggy ask to be not serve with the gravy instead. Overall 8/10. Recommended to try.

This is hands down the best popiah in the world. Be sure to order the special "keh liao" version, which comes loaded with lots of crab meat. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get - at time of writing, each strip of special popiah costs RM3.80. Highly recommended as an afternoon snack!

It is very unique popiah and taste good. Some may find it weird and may dislike it. But it suits my preference to have some soup serve with the popiah which make it the special one compare to all others. I will certainly visit this store whenever I visit Penang. Though I hope the food court can improve their cleanliness, is a bit dirty sometimes …

I must say this. If you are Penangite, you will definitely say that this is the best popiah. Yes, I agree and in fact I cannot find anything close to this in the whole peninsular Malaysia yet. However, this popiah might be too fishy for some because the owner put in real crab meat. The gravy is very tasty also and I believe it is made with the broth from boiling the crab. In short, a unique tasty treat.

Love this popiah because the uncle adds in crab meat & you can pay extra RM1.50 to have him add the crab claw meat ? Its also the wet version of popiah, you pour a prawn broth over the popiah before eating... ?
