★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like any wet market in anywhere in West Malaysia, there are vegetables, fresh and dry seafood & fishes, fruits, cakes and nyonya kueh and many other household apparatus for sales. However, products at some stalls are cheaper than others and it is up to everyone to move around and check on the prices and quality. For example cucumber selling at RM2.50 per kilo csn be bought at RM1.00 per kilo as today. Fruits like hawaii papaya costs RM3.50 per kilo will be selling at RM3 next day. Do look around the market when you are in Taiping early in the morning and you may get some good bargains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most dirtiest market and the first in Malaysia with all local council gaji buta workers never clean the place daily. Terrible foul smell none could stand.
Waste of public money and rent to council without service the market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the new market which is multi storey, with car park. There is wet market for seafood, meat and vege. Dry area for clothing, shoes /slipper, prayer stuffs, small items, and also some food stalls. Upper floors have shops too, and more food stalls in the upper floors

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initially this market was right in the centre of Taiping Town. Since the old market was built with wood and has run down at the urge of collapsing. If i am not mistaken it should been built about 100years agi or more. So inorder to cater the resident, they have to built a new market.
