★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always come for hokkien mee at night. Very happening even at almost midnight. Fruit stall in front of temple is still open late at night. Morning wan tan mee is different with the usual brown sauce, theirs is a historical stall without brown sauce so the local call it white wantanmee. Some times seen some beggar walking around so doesn't feel safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local street food in the square where the Old Temple is located. As it smack in the middle of the old part of BM town traffic is horrendous. In the evening the braised fish head with tofu and celery is very good - option to try with Mee Hoon or rice porridge. Also recommended is the fried oysters and satay stalls. The Hokkien Prawn Mee is an old stall and popular with locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was recommended here for breakfast ~ there are actually quite a number of things to eat ~ and I picked up some yam ball (wu kok), chai kuih, apom and nasi lemak. There are some noodles stalls too ~ here the duck meat koay chiap was good (but closed today) as well as the white wanton mee (but wasnt feeling so well so was looking for some strong tasting food.
Overall food is not bad ~ quite nice at OK prices. Just the drink - warm kekwa tea at RM1.40 which I thought was slightly on the expensive end.
Parking can be a challenge here but I got lucky this morning.

4 star solely for the popiah, highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried 4 things.
1. Hokkien mee(3/10) tak cukup rasa
2. wantan mee(5/10) special handmade noodles quite nice, unfortunately almost tasteless
3. kueh teow soup(5/10) cheap & so-so taste
4. lor mee (8/10) worth to try
We orded Chrysanthemum tea, almost tasteless.
Environment wise, spacious & good ventilation & clean.
A bit hard to find parking.
