β β β β β Unassuming looking club cafe serving top notch Hakka cuisine that took over from previous caterer not long ago. Unusual for Penang that is more well known for Hokkein food. Roast meat was just right with a subtle burnt flavour. Not the usual char siew or roast pork. Abacus seeds were soft and chewy with the sides adding texture and taste. Pork rice (lu rou fan) has got to be one of the best Iβve had outside of Taiwan. Not that Iβm a big fan of it but this was not salty at all. Good balance of sauce and bite. Hakka noodles were springy with the same sauce on top. Pork trotters vinegar was great without being over powering. Skip the yong tau fu though. Nothing to see there. Lemon grass drink turns out to be 7-Up!There are also other dishes like the ginger chicken and Assam curry that is worth trying too.

β β β β β The pool security is totally rude. I'm a member and at the first I do not know that the pool was separate into two operating time, the second operating time is start from 4pm, I was arrived about 3:45pm, then I ask the guard can I going into the pool to swim? Then he replied me with a YES!. When I have changed my swimming attire and went into the pool, the guard shout at me and chase me up said that the time to the pool is 4, then I said just now u told me that I can go to swim before 4,he just replied me that he misunderstood my words,he taught I was going to the toilet only, without saying any sorry ,he just keep chase me up with his two another friends. Wat a rude attitude?! U tell me that I can go to the pool then u chase me up?! Izit my fault ?! Very disappointed to their attitude :"(((

β β β β β The tennis courts might not look appealing but it is one of the best in Penang. I have never went swimming there but the pool looks decent. The food at Victoria Restaurant tastes pretty good and it is also affordable. I recommend going here for tennis, badminton, swimming, football and even food.

β β β β β This is a wonderful addition to the usual CRC restaurant we frequented. Lao Hakka is run independently from the bigger air conditioned restaurant inside. Being alfresco, we got natural wind and view of the greens with a friendly football match going on! How delightful! The set up is airy, clean, service was quick and good. Above all else was the food! Authentic delicious and full filling. Favourites were bitter gourd with mashed eggs, spicy sour fish, pork dishes and house specialty Toufu. Price is very fair and cheaper than the air conditioned restaurant inside CRC.
A definite win and will frequent often ??
They have another branch in Chinese Swimming Club.
