★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have watched about this restaurant from youtube. I have finally visited and tasted few dishes. I was quite impressed with the seabass cooked in claypot although it did not cooked well. The char hor fun with big prawn did not have the "char" flavour. Overall, it is just an average seafood restaurant. Perhaps the seaside is the main attraction for sun set view.

The fresh seafood were yummy, and the menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering food.
All in all, a wonderful experience to be there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hai Boey is facing eastward and a good clear evening is very rewarding with great colors in the sky. While ears will be soothed by the sounds of gentle waves lapping at the shore. And the great dishes barrelled down from the kitchen and served on your table in tandem. Suddenly you were drowned in your own saliva. My goodness, they smelled so inviting. We had clamps and pork legs in Siam style. Pork leg was fantastic after two recent bad experience at another two outlets. Broiled octopus which was cooked to the perfect tenderness. Another eye-opening dish, the crispy sweet and sour pork frozen in ice cubes. What a night. Hope you enjoy too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice view by the sea. Can see nice sunset. Need pre-booking due to CNY festival and can only order the pre-set menu. Crabs were small and very pricey. One of the crabs was not fresh but the restaurant replaced us one upon our complaint. All the food portion were quite small. The price was quite unreasonable high. Overall not worth the money. Not recommended during festive seasons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is above average, the place is spacious and clean, right by the beach and the price is reasonable. They serve the food fast but make sure u are there before 6pm to secure yourself a table. If u are late, u can leave your phone number, they will call u when it's your turn. However, the phone coverage is limited. We are using Celcom network. There is a children's playground and insta friendly spot with a giant octopus statue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used to come to this restaurant quite often before Covid. They have varieties of fresh seafood before this but we are told the boss no longer order so many seafood after the second locked down. But still the taste are still the same as before and the dishes are still well cooked.
Varieties of cooking methods for their seafoods. Highly recommended for seafood lovers and definitely must order their hor fun.
Suitable for large crowd as they have very big tables to cater up to 12-15ppl.
Plenty of parking space right in front of the restaurant. Kids and small pets friendly as they have a very nice beach with swings for them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner just re-open for dine in around Dec. Due to MCO there will be shortage of staff in the restaurant so be prepared to wait a bit for the staff to entertain you. The restaurant follow proper social distancing SOP thus it is no longer packed as each patrons needs to reserve in advance.
Food wise is very tasty and affordable, we had family dinner during CNY 2022, 12pax cost only around MYR700($170) here when other restaurants in the island is charging about MYR800 for 8pax.
Staff is also friendly and able to fulfill our requests eventhough they're constantly moving around due to lack of manpower.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recommended ?. Non-halal seafood restaurant. A lot of seafood selections (they have Australian lobsters too).
First time here, recommended by our local friend. The place is great by the beach. Nicely decorated for photo taking with children playground and swings.
Prices are reasonable, but anyhow do ask for the price first before ordering (advise by our friend). Tastes are delicious ? but the portions are a bit small. We didn't order much as we just had a durian feast earlier (late afternoon)?.
Do try their pumpkin crab?.
Recommended to make booking in advance especially if you are in a big group.
