★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nothing fancy but just nice. If u want fancy don't stay here. Just opened in 2019 so it's pretty new. Private beach cz there's only 1 chalet there. Food is tasty cz the owner cook herself. Staff are nice and friendly. Got 1 comment though, pillow bit flat and mattress need padded layer cz can feel the spring ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a hotel w its own beach, we saw sharks, stingrays and nemos at its reefs, perfect for quiet snorkeling trip. but water heater wasn’t working, wifi is weak. staff are soo friendly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ nice beach, very secluded from the rest of the island so keep that in mind when choosing this beach. nice buildings, i slept in the dorm which was a bit mouldy and dirty hence the two stars. chaotic and long waiting times in the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great, clean, quiet affordable private beach resort managed by chomel couples. Full electricity and new place.
Snorkelling available directly in front of the resort where u can easily spot fish & baby sharks.Food was great & afforable at resort restaurant. Island trips can be booked at reception with a reasonable price. Picture perfect for IG, FB post!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Almost impossible to shower properly with the very low water pressure.
Was given a room which had a sliding door that could not be locked; was not given the option to change rooms and had to barricade the door with a cupboard to feel less worried about sleeping at night.
Location is nice and quiet and secluded enough from the other beaches to feel private. The nasi goreng kampung is pretty okay too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This resort is PERFECTION!!! Can't complain about anything. The hostess, Mek Chomel is friendly and attended to our every need, just say it and she'll make it happen. Just as we step down from the boat, we're welcomed by the hostess with refreshing drinks and she made sure we're fully rested from the 30 minutes boat ride before we checked in.
The room is clean, no weird odour. Linens freshly changed. there's a safe, open wardrobe, desk and side table..wifi is provided too! no tv but it wasn't necessary anyway.
The food there is AWESOME!!! There's array of choices from rice dishes to pasta to snack and the taste is delicious.
The beach is private to the resort so not crowded at all. Not as wide as long beach or coral bay but good enough for family events. They had barriers on each side of the beach for guest to swim and won't need to worry about boats coming in..
The beach front already has many fishes and coral for us to see during snorkeling. There's also kayaks to rent.
The resort provides packages for trips to pulau rawa, redang, snorkel points and others. there's also water taxi services if you need to go to long beach.
Definitely this place sets a high bar for us and will always become our go to resort in the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely stay at Chomel Chalet Perhentian Kecil. The rooms are equipped with AC and a balcony facing the ocean. Remi and the family go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. Also there is a great dive center just next door! We really enjoyed our stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: The chalet is nice and owner & staff very friendly. You can free rent the snorkelling ? from the chalet with deposit RM50 (return). Clean and private beach. Chalet also provide scuba lesson (very affordable) and island hopping activities.
Cons: No night life. Everything went dark and quiet after 9pm. Even the restaurant closed at 9pm. So need to plan your dinner earlier. If you’re with kids, book chalet or room nearest to the lobby as the uppermost room need to climb stairs! No WiFi in room. Only available at the restaurant and lobby. And no telco connection also expect for Maxis.
