The chinese cook who used to fried Hokkien Mee in Petaling Street is now in Jln. Ipoh. Still tastes like the one during the ninety. Yummy.....

Very good and authentic KL Hokkien noodles! Served with cabbage, tender sliced pork, liver and prawns, all charcoal fried within the savoury black pork lard laced noodles, this RM9 per person serving tastes just like a much better version of the also famous Kim Lian Kee Hokkien noodles at Petaling Street. The ingredients are generously portioned, and the owner and staff are very friendly and down to earth. A place I will gladly return to for my fix of Hokkien noodles and would recommend whole heartedly to others. So much so that I would even prefer this place to the also famous Jalan 222 PJ Hokkien Mee at Restoran Ah Wa. A hidden gem for sure!

The taste is not so nice like it used to be in Jinjang food court.

Diners beware!!!! Tried the hokkien mee here and although priced at RM9 for a single portion, the serving was reasonably large and therefore just barely within the realm of value for money. Taste-wise it was relatively good although it was my oversight in forgetting to ask for no MSG when ordering. Anyway, enjoyed the meal and was considering coming back to try their other dishes when the Indonesian (?) lady server cleared away our plates and was taking it away when the senior boss man stopped her midway to retrieve the half-eaten saucer of chopped garlic of which he was overheard telling her can be re-used. That was the exact moment when the decision was made never to return.

Today, I took a Canadian friend and my wife for Fried Hokkien Mee at Rest. Meng Kee. We enjoyed today's meal. I had banned this hawker for about a year for serving me frozen noodle during Covid. Recently my friend went there to eat and told me it was good.
