★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to Terengganu with my classmates on an architectural field study trip, mind you, we study architecture and naturally before the trip we were expectant of schedules that are relevant to our course. Not relevant at all. And that’s not the worst part of it. Most of our trip we are required to walk under the burning hot sun to our destination, and the walking is marked as “ronda-randa” in our itinerary as part of our schedule. The tour guide is not only rude and sarcastic but also lack historically correct knowledges of the sites we were visiting. Terapurri resort was worth spending the pennies on but our second hotel in the town is an incredibly cheap hotel with most of us catching bed bugs after the trip. We spent 1,400 on the whole trip, which supposedly include a trip to Redang Island but was cancelled due to the Monsoon season, yet we did not get back our refunds for it, and they claimed that they’ve spent it on better foods and a cultural show for us. Imagine, each of us spending 1,400 going to places that need no entrance fees, supposedly most of it was to be spent on an island trip but was cancelled and we couldn’t get any refund because they told you they spent it on some food which clearly does not cost RM50. It’s all very disappointing. Either my lecturer has taken our refunds and lied to us or this travel agency overcharged.
