★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Now after Covid Pandamenic n lifting the PKP, there is tremendous improvement at the Old Town Market. All the stalls operated by the foreigners, especially by the Bangladeshi's have been empty n available. More space to move around, but prices are bit on the higher end, due to manpower shortage. Whatever said n done this Market is still cheaper then most of the markets in PJ. Fully recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh chicken, fish, and vegetables available. Freshness of fish, and seafood depends on season, and seller, so walk around to check. You are more likely to find things that supermarkets don't stock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lot has changed in the PJ Old Town Wet market. It has lost it aura, I had grew up knowing as its a venue my grandparents and parents used to go to by our weekly produce. Now since the pandemic, it has been renovated, its much cleaner, brighter, less crowded and quite a few stalls are left empty.
SOP is tighter and everyone goes in and out of the wet market in an orderly manner. The infamous chicken/ char siew rice is still open till today (been operating over 30 years)... Hopefully it will get back it's bustling entourage of morning market aunty and uncles soon...
