β β β β β I liked this place before, but after pandemik the service was not good, reception customer service was so bad, not really helping. She needs to learn how to talk to the guest first before doing her job.

β β β β β Checked in and checked out again. I was really shocked about this place, no other backpackers, only locals apparently living there? The showers were horrendous and I didnβt get a pillow or a blanket ? The bed was dirty and the room smelled really bad, there was only a fan which was so loud. I donβt know if I just got a bad room but I really wouldnβt recommend backpackers to stay here.

β β β β β Wah, Denise et al were very professional welcoming me at Pods. What a pleasant experience!!
The rooms are cozy so manage your expectations. Shared toilets are clean. Price is reasonable.
The only thing Pods may need to watch out is guest smoking in the shared toilet/shower area. Granted it's imposible to watch every corner and there are plenty of non smoking advisory, guests also need to be respectful towards others.
Overall, happy and definitely highly recommended.

β β β β β Prices may be as regular as other hostels. The location of this hostel is quite strategic and close to KL Central. Easy access to Mamak restaurant, Speed ββmart, Post Office and Mosque. However, there is a water pressure problem and it is disturbing. Need to improve on maintenance work. One of the female staff was also unfriendly. Quite annoying and apparently she doesnβt like working as a front desk. Other things like warning notices with threatening words everywhere in the hostel are also unnecessary. Perhaps, those who create the rules should think of the best words to use as a reminder to guests.

β β β β β The location was great and the staff was super nice. Unfortunately you can't adjust the aircon in the room. It comes on at 8pm and stays on with a strong blast until 8am. My room was so freezing that I ended up being so sick I needed to cancel my diving trip.

β β β β β The hostel is in a very good location. Convenient to travel around by public transport. Check-in process was smooth. Rates were very competitive too.
However the room was extremely small and dirty. The wardrobe and floor were covered with dust and dirt, hence I had to wipe clean the surfaces before using.
The partition walls had no soundproofing. The aircon only operated between 8PM to 8AM. The common bathrooms were not maintained and the condition was horrendous. Unfortunately, I had to leave the hostel after the first day.
Thankfully the hostel agreed with partial refund.

β β β β β I found this place and appreciate that it is so affordable despite being so close to KL Sentral. I took midnight bus all the way here from Singapore and reach around 4am but the key is ready for me to rest in the room at no delay at all. I'm thankful for the helpful and kind staff and services that they have provided me at such a low price. The room is also clean and tidy.

β β β β β The only two best parts about this place are the cheap price and the location - convenient and easy accessibility. The staffs were friendly and polite. My friend and I got the all-female bunk bed room, but even so there were a lot of men living on the same floor, and most of them would simply go to the bathroom/shower room wrapped only in towel for the bottom half of their bodies. This made me feel a little uncomfortable. The bathroom also constantly reeked of smoke even though it's supposed to be no smoking. My biggest complaint would be their bathroom because the toilet paper was constantly out. There are so many people living on the same floor, so it's inevitable that the toilet paper gets used up so fast, but no one is there to refill it even in the morning and no one knows when it will get refilled again. The water pressure at the shower room also leaves much to be desired, but overall still not too bad. The bed was quite clean, although my friend had stains on her bed sheets and she said her blanket made her skin feel quite itchy, and the bed frame was a bit squeaky. The main entrance to the floor was also incredibly squeaky so whenever someone enters the floor I could hear the door squeak from my room. There is also no AC in the room, just fan and a centralized AC system outside, but the room didn't feel too hot. Also note that their lockers are not equipped with any locks, so you're advised to bring your own to protect your valuables. I would not necessarily mind staying there again but for the price point, it is indeed a very budget and minimalistic place with bare offerings.
