★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Port Dickson beach town is was known as the beach town to go for a short trip or vacay. Conveniently located 30 minutes from Seremban, 90 minutes from KL/ Selangor and Melaka via connected highways.
An aging town with an aging population. Development has been snail paced for the tourism economy. Most establishments can only cater to certain segments of the domestic market. Only a handful of hotels or resorts of calibre are capable to cater to the upmarket segment of tourists. There are many aging managed apartment rental units and its properties that needs upgrades as well as hotels and resorts. Growth of talents in the service and hospitality industry has been limited within the shallow confines of short sighted vision of governance and administration.
There are a few new gems to be found such as smaller boutique as well as larger chain establishments scattered around tats highly rated.
The public beaches consist of a few long stretches and a number of coves. Almost all could do with better maintenance, beautification and access and services. Those with better facilities and services will be filled to brim on weekend and school holidays. Otherwise a nice quiet sleepy aging beach town is what fits the bill for Port Dickson. Surely a cup of tea for some.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found a better part of Pantai Cermin with a rather simple toilet hut for bathing and changing clothes. But without the usual water closet or urinal for big or small business.
Anyhow still like the beach very much especially being my first time. Because it is located at the cape and the shape of the beach, it creates a nice long beach and lagoon type of enclosure. So much cleaner and less commercialised since no food outlets. Very ideal beach to have a quiet time to hang out just to enjoy the dip and breeze. Not to mention the evening sunset view is also awesome. There area many trees around here to provide the necessary shades to crash in. Many people brought their own tents as well. Nearby you can see the Lexis Hibiscus hotel if your prefer to stay overnight.
