Food was above average at most but it was definitely fresh.
Maybe we should try their buttered dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Deep fried seabass are the main attraction of this restaurant. Other dishes like fried Prawn, sambal goreng tempeh, fluffy omelette are superb. Looks simple but you will definitely love it ❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth your money. There are long queue but it is quite fast. Go and find one staff who will issue you with a number. That's it.
Parking a bit challenge but not an issue too. Walk a bit if u park a bit far.
There are set menu A for 2 pax, B for 3 pax, C for 4 and D for 6-8 pax. On top of this you can also top up more food.
Give a try if you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kedai Makan Rahmat or more famously known as Rahmat Siakap Goreng is a restaurant on stilts by the Tebrau Straits. You should call earlier to book a prime table by the water to view Pulau Ubin, Seranggoon Island or even Punggol Jetty on a great day. This restaurant can be quite full by 12pm, so come as early as you can (if you didn’t book).
Their claim to fame is of course, their Siakap Goreng. The crunchy siakap skin (you can eat it, but most won’t), and soft perfectly cooked fish flesh can be eaten just like that with rice, or dipped in their soy sauce.
Their operation is quick, and once you make uour order, everything should arrive on your table in a couple of minutes. Their COVID-19 SOP compliance is also good, and it’s an open air restaurant (no air-conditioning) so it could be quite hot on certain days.
This restaurant is worth the 30-40 minutes drive from JB town, so do include it in your JB makan trip plans.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice authentic Malay food. The restaurant is situated in a Malay kampung, on stilts by the sea. The side dishes is served on a small plate, and the barramundi fish can serve 2-3. Price is reasonable for the food quality. Do expect large crowds during peak hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend recommended this place and my oh my it is surprisingly good. The name of the restaurant says it all, fried seabass is their specialty. When we arrived, we were told to queue and then they will assign table and a number. Then you can pick based on the package or ala-carte. We opted with ala carte menu to best suite our taste bud and preferences. The seabass is fried super crunchy with the scale on. The fresh and firm seabass dipped into soy onion and calamansi combo is heavenly. We choose several sidedish to compliment the seabass, a plate of bbq prawn, 2 plate of vege, 2 plate of sambal tempe + plus cost around rm75. I would totally recommend you to make a reservation as it can get busy at lunch hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food! Yes, agak sesak, especially on weekend..but they really do well in ensuring SOPs are followed, especially during this pandemic period. Siakap goreng is the main highlights here but you can't say that's the only tasty dish they have...udang goreng/fried prawn also really nice and not to forget, sambal tempe! And price wise, worth each penny you paid!
