★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for wild fresh water fishes, you come the best place. These wild fresh fish were spoiled by the wrong person cooking them. How sad. Chan Kee has the best of both.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would you drive 90 minutes just for steamed fish? That’s what we did with no regrets at all. This little village is blessed with several restaurants all serving the sweetest, tastiest and mouthwatering fresh water fish caught from a nearby lake. My brother prefers this restaurant as the fish quality is consistent; the chef uses a soy sauce is homemade by a local family for more 3 generations and is not at all salty. The sambal paku (baby fern) a local veg found in the mountains & near tin mines is something special, as is their bitter gourd with homemade saitoh fish bladder(?) balls. YUM. Oh. did I mention Clean Toilets?!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coming from a small village, however the food quality and presentation is compatible with the ones in cities. This village is famous for their freshwater fish though the price would be no less than cities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Specialized in fresh water fish from the nearby river and lake. They serve some of the best types of fish. Not cheap, but you pay for what you get. We ordered the Jelawat and Temeloh. It is delicious!
