★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best wantanmee ever. Tasty from the chasiew to the noodles to the sauce. Go early for parking around the corner but if you're not early enough, you'll have to wait until the whole backlog is served (about 40mins). You can also choose to go at 9 where the bfast crowd have gone to work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let's start with the cons first.
It's very crowded, a bit hard to find a seat, especially for a large group. You might find outdoor seat, but it's so hot outside.
Because there were many guests, it took some time for the food to be served.
Now to the pros.
The wan tan mie was delicious, no regret.
Too bad I ordered a small one. When I finished, I felt like I haven't eaten yet. So I went to order another one, but it was sold out already right at 10 AM.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a couple of times as someone mentioned to us that the wanton noodle here is good.
Our verdict...overrated. Yes, the noodle itself is decent and springy. But not the total package ie. black sauce is generic, wanton dumplings are definitely not up to expectation. And the LONG wait...also the parking hassle, and not forgetting the dusty atmosphere as the shop is situated at a busy traffic light junction.
If you happen to be in the area, do drop by for a 'not so quick bite'. If not, don't bother to drive all the way there as I am sure you can find similar or better wanton noodles elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived at 8am on a Weds. Woman told me one hour wait. Got the last seat at a shared table. Dry wonton mee came around 8:45. Noodles were obviously fresh, great texture. The addition of minced pork to the dish (similar to Hakka noodles??) pushed this place to the top of my list. Worth the wait if you are not in a rush...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good Friend wanton mee - Jln Brunei off Jln Pudu
Reached shop at 0730 hrs as advised to avoid seating problems due to regular large crowd and limited seating.
All customers takes their respective seats as they arrive. At the opening bell, the coffee lady will start doing her rounds from table to table taking drink orders and noting down each order taken mentally. She just seems to know which table to approach systematically according to customer turn of arrival.
A short while later the wanton mee lady repeats the same process, this time taking noodle orders as she moves from table to table. By the time she finishes she would have taken orders non-stop from at least 08 -10 tables and noting down all orders taken mentally!
Thirty minutes into our wait the noddles arrived. Presentation was good with well tossed noodles drenched in glistening dark tasty sauce. Noodles were al-dante, char-siew tasted just right and wanton with familiar old world taste.
Go for the "kon-low" version which easily is the better choice. Don't waste time with "sui-kow" side order, as they taste exactly the same as wantons.
Our first attempt here the day before was a disappointment as the shop was closed. We found out that they could not prepare the bbq char-siew since it was raining that morning.
Be mindful that only wanton noodle is available here. Go elsewhere if you expect variety.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best wanton mee in town. Nice springy textured wanton noodles with caramelized char siew topped with minced pork and fried pork lard - an awesome plate of goodness ! Reasonable price of Rm7 per serving but be prepared for the long wait, minimum 30 minutes wait is normal. Not much seats so best not to go in a big group. Sharing of tables is common. Irregular opening days so sometimes your craving depends on your luck also. Usually off on Sundays and Mondays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Famous for LOOOOOOOOOOOONG waiting time, be prepare to wait >30min or more for your meal.
Tried their wantan mee during weekend, and was not disappointed by the wait. You really need to have great patience if wanted to eat here
Aside from the LOOOOOOOOOOONG wait... this is how i feel about the food.
Mee is springy, and light. Mee are not lump together like some shop.
Char Siew is very good, they grill it themself, its very tender and amount is generous.
There is hint of lard, what is needed to make a good WTM.
Soup taste rather bland, and honestly i am quite disappointed.
There are sengkuang in the wantan, but the marination is not enough.
