β β β β β Been wanting to try Kae Kae for the longest time but everytime we just missed it, until last night!
KK not only offer BKT but also a small variety of chu char, steamed fish and their signature steamed chicken. Dry BKT is available too but only for 2pax and above. (should do away with this min ordering system for this dish)
The outlet is small but clean and best of all, air-conditioned. There's also a few tables at the non a/c section if u want sweat it out.
We ordered :
1) BKT in claypot for 3 pax @ RM36 (individual bowl @ RM11/pax) - We asked for pork belly, ribs and hock (jiao wan) - pork ribs fell off the bones nicely, pork belly juicy and the pork hock is succulent and full of fats. Portion is good and the soup is well balanced, not too herbalish (bitter) nor too diluted. Just very good and the best part was we did suffer the thirsty effect after the meal.
2) Honey glazed chicken @ RM12/pax - This was a very good and we got hooked after the first bite. Chicken is nicely cooked while retaining the bite and juiciness!
3) Stir-fry yau mak @ RM10/medium - Crunchy and best of all, filled with lotsa wok-hei! Simple yet deli!
4) Plain white rice @ RM1.50/pax
5) We brought own tea leaves. refillable hot water @ RM1/pax
We were very satisfied with the meal and the price is very reasonable. Service with a smile, attentive and friendly. Will definitely return!

β β β β β My favorite restaurant in OUG. Food is so delicious and with reasonable price. Must try the egg yolk mushroom and dry bakut teh. Always willing to cook the raw fish I bring here, with the best cooking skill, highly recommended.
