★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant Kak Ina named after the owner has been operating for the last 5 years. It opens its doors at 7am and closes at 4pm. It caters for the locally home cooked cuisines for breakfast , brunch and tea.
You have the lontong , their speciality and the nasi lemak, plus roti jala, popiah goring and a big helpings of nasi goring, fried spaghetti, mee, mee hoon , kueh teaw goring all displayed on the common food rack for you to sample your choice for breakfast buffet style a la self service.
There is also Pecal the combination of boiled kang Kong, taugeh, cucumber, sengkuang , fried tempeh and fried taufoo with matching gravy and sambal ikan bilis to go with. There is also the porridge for those with soft diet and buburr kachang, sagu, bubor pulut hitam or ubi kayu depending on days for those with sweet tooth.
For those who prefers brunch, there is white rice with a medley of Malay dishes like asam pedas, kuah masak lemak,.curry daging, Ayam goring, ikan goring, telur goring, ikan masin salted fish, ayam soup, tom yam soup and kuah nenas plus chicken feet soup for those with adventurous tongues.Also a variety of local vegetables kuah like pumpkin, sayur batang keladi, chap chai to savour your tastes. All told a replicate of Minangkabau and Johore originated dishes to please the palates.
Of course you have nasi champur and other hot dishes a la carte style.
The cold syrup drinks and cold or hot water is on the house I.e. gratis. You have tea tarik, hot or iced coffee with all the other cereal drinks. Fresh juices are available.
The service is good being served by the owner and her daughter Alang and a few helpers.
Do not be surprised if the place is overwhelmed by the local community students who take their breaks at Kak Ina Restaurant. The prices are very affordable and this is the place where take-outs are popular with housewife who chose not to cook at home.
A really mouth watering place for those who enjoys typical Malay home cooking.
