★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family lunch in Kiat Seng on this Sunday, we tucked into Sambal Stir Fried Eggplant, Long Beans, Tofu and Stink Beans (Petai), Garlic Stir Fried Lotus Root, Carrot, Beans and Corn, Lala/Clam Soup with Kei Chi/Wolfberries, Kam Heong Chicken, Batter Fried Squid/Sotong, Clay Pot Fish Head Curry and Sweet Sour Crab.
Crispy crunchy sotong was the favourite for the kids, everyone happily tucked into the stir fried dishes, lala soup was a little overwhelming with Chinese wine but mum and I loved it. Kam Heong Chicken was all whacked up, fish head curry was tasty though cannot compete with Indian curries and the sweet sour crab was appreciated as well, though sweetness overtook spiciness. Nevertheless, mum, my other half-half and I sincerely, on the whole, loved this home style Chinese meal, whereas family members had mixed comments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came for the crabs & I like how the foods taste here. Most of the cookings are full flavored, isn't oily. Table service is excellent, workers are really fast hand fast leg. As for the crab, ordered kam heong & it's great. The gravy is wet type & it coated the crabs easily.
Salted vegetable soup is excellent, sour & salty. Really appetizing. The bill is quite reasonable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not 5 star restaurant but the Food was excellent, even with 1 helpers and the owner herself take order and cleaning the table herself was fast service. Not count with the cookers. ( not sure how many cookers).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a table of 2, we ordered steamed fish (上汤蒸非洲), belacan stir fried mixed vegetables (四大天王), creamy butter fried squid (牛油炸鲜鱿), and minced meat tofu n vege (菜香豆腐). Seriously, there’s nothing to complain about besides not having more mouths to help finish their yummy food. Price wasn’t over the roof too given every dish’s quality, e.g. steamed just right, fresh veges used… definitely recommend this place for a family dinner.
P.s. apologies for missing out the other photos as I was too hungry at that point. ?
