★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a person who doesn't really love chicken rice, was initially wary of trying the highly recommended chicken rice here. However, tried it because a lot of people said it's good. All I can say is the chicken rice was amazing. Locals around the area also queue up for the chicken rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initially, I did not give a hoot to Meng Kee chicken rice stall. After all there are quite a number of such stalls in the Gunung Rapat and Ampang areas. How is it going to compete against the famous Sun Yeong Wai restaurant, specialising in roasted duck, just down the block? One day, noticing the eager customers crowding at Meng Kee, I decided to join in the bon appetit group. My verdict: thumbs up! ... it's no ordinary chicken rice. A class of its own. The BBQ pork (char siu) & roasted pork are equally good. Flavoured or plain rice is fluffy and of right texture. The stall owner takes charge of the drinks section too.
Two other stalls are also located here: fish ball noodles and wonton mee. This wonton mee stall (name: 天堂谷 or Heavenly Valley) has been serving good quality wonton mee over the years. It has its fair share of loyal customers. In fact this stall had shifted locations a few times. Recently, I managed to hunt it to its present location. In doing so, I have become a food fan of Meng Kee chicken rice stall too.
Update: Meng Kee chicken rice stall now has a branch operating at Hong Lok (鏮乐) restaurant, Gunung Rapat. Good business there too!

RM2 (2021) for a good cup of Kopi C Kosong in heated warm cups. Easy parking with tree shades nearby.
