★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No need to go to Indonesia. The Padang dishes are here. Also local nasi lemak and mee. Their daging hitam.. Padang s special.. Available with several other dishes. Drinks limited. Ambience OK as the business is in end lot shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best nasi padang in Sungai Petani (and probably Kedah, or even the Northern Region).
I frequented this restaurant a lot prior to the endless MCO CMCO RMCO and whatever CO. They serve nice rice with lots of delicious padang accompaniments (lauk). Some of my favourite lauk include Bergedel, Dendeng Daging, Ayam Lada Hijau and Sambal Lada Udang. Besides that, they also serve the best Nasi Ayam Penyet in Sungai Petani so far.
The restaurant owner and staffs are friendly, and price-wise is reflective of the dishes served (padang dishes take some time and a lot of ingredients to prepare).
I do not mind coming all the way from the district of Baling to enjoy their padang dishes. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone craving Nasi Padang in the northern region.
