★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of authentic Johor cuisines. The Lontong Sate is a bestseller and a must-try. Murtabak a la Singapore was cooked to perfection, maintaining the beef’s juiciness and flavor. You could add some pickle onions but it’s already rich in flavor as is.
The roti canai / pratha selections, e.g. roti kosong, roti planta, and roti bawang, were cooked with low-medium heat, resulting in tender interior texture, but crunchy crispy exteriors - perfect to be dipped or soaked with curry “banjir” style. I think there were other variants but those above were the ones we tried.
The staffs were friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was your typical neighbourhood-friendly mom-and-pop shop and very clean. We managed to have a chat with the owner, who was a really humble guy. They’ve just opened only a week and given time, I’m convinced it’ll be a local star favourite.
