"I grew up eating this rojak" he said while bringing us to his favourite rojak stall near Chinatown. Located in a Chinese restaurant, this friendly pakcik has been selling his famous rojak to all walks of life as long as my friend remembers. What I like about this place is the fact that all major races are seen mingling around like old friends - far cry from all those political issues playing racial cards.
Located right in front of the restaurant, the stall known as "Rojak Ayam Hashim" is one of the pioneers of Terengganu-style Rojak and many people are seen dining in or takeaway few packets at a time. We quickly took our seats and my friend proceed to order for us.
Roasted chicken, crispy cucur udang, taufu Goreng, egg, cucumber, bean sprout and yellow noodle were stacked together in a plate before doused by the aromatic and slightly thick peanut sauce. So good that we ordered extra 2 plates to be shared between us... Although we were still quite full after hearty breakfast at Hai Fong earlier.
Taste-wise I do not know how to describe - same same but different. However, I can tell that it's delicious. Rojak lovers must make a trip here to try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop was rebuilt and has rolled out a new menu after the fire incident. It has a new white look! Their signature fried three fresh seafood (prawn, squid and lala 三鲜) is excellent. Chicken rice is popular as well! Kindly note that the previous Rojak Ayam Hashim which was operating here has since moved to another shop next to Bank Islam Jalan Sultan Ismail after the fire (it's current location is just about 200m from this Restoran Wan Hai). - Pictures taken from Facebook
