★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chanced upon this restaurant when I was looking for late lunch. Reached around 5pm & found the other 3 restaurants were closed. I saw the succulent chicken hanging on the stall front & decided to try since this is still considered beside Ipoh which is famous for its chicken rice.
Lo & behold, the steamed chicken is on par with Cowan Street chicken rice in Ipoh town. The oil & soy sauce drenched onto the steamed chicken is really fragrant. Soy sauce is perfect.
They serve sar hor fun (flat rice noodles) too. The soup is perfect & sar hor fun was so silky smooth. Chili sauce for the chicken rice is good too. Definitely a worthy find, I'll be back for the evening chicken rice
In the morning, an old Indian couple runs a roti prata (canai) stall. Tested it, the roti is really crunchy, freshly made & sweet to eat it on its own. The curry gravy that comes with it is full of spices flavor. Taste marvelous.
Chicken rice - Open: 5pm - 9pm (or earlier if chicken is sold out), close: Thursday. Easily by 7.00pm+ there will be almost out of chickens
