Royal Relocations

Only packing team of Royal Relocations (RR) gives ‘Royal’ service ....rest of the experience was ordinary. And for moving domestic goods overseas, RR will tie up with some other company and you will have to deal with 2 separate entities for which RR will not even communicate with you. But no negative experience with RR. All on positive side only:

We have moved to different countries a few times and have used a few diff movers and this has been by far our worst experience. Our consultant went MIA on the day of our move. They promised to deliver our stuff on a certain date and I asked them for confirmation a couple of times as I was deciding between 2 movers. They confirmed and I chose them coz over the other mover as I had a good impression of the consultant who came to do our survey. After packing, no one contacted us and I got worried as my stuff were supposed to arrive in Sg the next day. I had to call them and was told the consultant was uncontactable due to personal emergencies and as a result, our belongings cldnt be delivered on the date as promised. It was postponed to next Saturday. On Friday, I received a call again and they told me they have to delay it to Sunday. The unpacking was a mess. They unpacked it at my corridor and some items fell out and my husband had to look through the pile of papers to ensure they didn’t accidentally throw the small bits that fell. After we unpacked everything, we realized that 3 cupboards of kitchen items were missing! We suspect that it was not packed and numbered in Malaysia as we unpacked all the numbered boxes that was delivered. We did a thorough check out and the house was empty. The company just said that they will check and will notify us if they find any missing boxes which I highly doubt will turn up if someone intentionally decides not to number the box and it went missing. The only upside from this is that they tried to minimize space in their packing but overall, I definitely learnt a lesson to go for the bigger companies when it comes to relocating! This is the first time we lost anything in a move and we have moved countries 3 times and houses 7 times in the last 6 years!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! The company make big guarantees on the website which they just don't keep, this is the worst company we have ever dealt with. We initially engaged with Royal in February of last year for a move from Malaysia to Panama and were told 2 months. We based a packing date in this and our goods were due to arrive mid August. A week before our arrival date, after no communication since packing, we were told our goods were only just leaving Malaysia! We'd never had any update of delays and, when we queried this, it seemed that our goods sat in storage in Malaysia for over a month with no explanation why. We had goods on that shipment which were needed to live our lives, we couldn't wait another 2 months. A series of email, WhatsApp and telephone conversations followed in which the company MD promised to offload our goods and send essential items by air, a promise he later retracted and which led to a further one month delay. I have honestly never been so upset by a company who we have paid to help us. We were given a partial refund but this wasn't really compensation as we had to spend it on temporarily replacing essential items which were in our shipment, such as kitchen items, pots, pans, cutlery, plates, as well as clothing and sports equipment. Our shipment finally arrived in November, almost 6 months after packing and over 3 months after the initial date given. We had other options open to us at the time of engaging with Royal but wanted to support a local firm, please don't make the same mistake we did. We should have used a firm owned and managed by expats and we never want anyone else to have the same experience. Communication was poor throughout and all inaccurate, nothing we were told was correct from the very first day we had the misfortune of coming across this company. They were unwilling to help and totally uncaring about the impact this had on our lives and the personal, professional and financial costs to us.

I shipped my home stuff from Malaysia to Europe with a full 20 feet container. Overall, I'm very happy about their service. The first inspection was very satisfied and the good thing is, it is very accurate so you can count on that (Thanks to Mr. Vicky). In the packing day, almost 13 guys came to my apartment and they pack everything carefully and very professionally (Thanks to Mr. Baskaran). They help us a lot to pack and fit all the stuff, base on evaluation on the first inspection. I received the full shipment on the expected day without damage even a glass. Everything was clean, same as before packing (maybe because I shipped them during cold season!?). Their partner in Europe managed the Custom Office progress, delivery to my house and unpacking/assembly the big items. Thank you again Royal Relocation for making me a nice and memorizable experience Just if you want to have a peace of mind during the whole process, consider a few things: - when you are shipping for a far oversea, expect some extra charge for unexpected things, for example in my case, my shipment selected for security check at the entrance port in Europe (as they told me and sent me the invoice and verification letter to me later), it was charged me EUR420. - Try to disassemble some mid-size items before the packing day, it will save a lot of space - It is a sea shipment and considers time, for my case it takes 38 days on the sea, but I asked them to store my shipment for a while in Malaysia and it takes 8 days from the seaport in Europe to my house (including all steps). So don't rush and don't expect super-fast delivery because of the type of shipment. Good luck everyone

I have relocated my household items from KL to United States with a 40 feet container. In general, I am overwhelmed by their service and professional manners. I had to relocate my household items, a rare collection of antiques, a grand piano, few fragile types of furniture ( such as acrylic photo poster frames, ceramic figurines, etc.). I was searching for relocation services when it about time to go back to the States because it's not only me alone this time but all my personal belongings together, "Royal Relocations" was the first recommended relocation service company by my fellow colleague. At first, I was doubting their services because I had a poor experience relocating from one place to another out of my 7 moves prior to move to KL ,but they do proved and showed me that they are the top dogs in this relocation services. Their sailing schedule was entirely reliable and systematic it shows their professionalism. The goods were all well packed and all items were in good condition as it was before. I received all my shipped items as scheduled in their sailing schedule. The sailing schedule was very well organized and I'm well pleased by their work ethic, professionalism, efficiency, responsiveness and customer care. Speaking of responsiveness I have to credit Mr Vicky who was constantly updating me about the possible delays throughout the shipping process, very well mannered person with clear updates but thank god I didn't experience any delay for my items it was delivered as it was scheduled. I am really thankful to Mr Vicky for treating me professionally, considerately and with much kindness. "Unity makes strength" and we can see their unity by how synchronized it was done from packaging to shipping with the well-organized schedule. I'm really overwhelmed by their excellent service and customer care. Definitely, one world-class relocation company out there. As a result , I would definately recommend Royal Relocations as a professional relocation company to all my friends who are in need to relocate in the future . Brilliant job guys!!! Very professional service from beginning of enquiry to the end. The sales person was very prompt in responding and provided very close follow up and detailed explanation tailoring to our needs of moving our stuff from Malaysia to Australia. On shipment day, the two packers were very experience and handled our stuff carefully, detailed oriented in making sure all our fragile items were carefully wrapped. They completed the entire packing in around 4 hours for our 4cbm load. From the moment our shipment left us, they provided timely update on our shipment status. It took around 2 months from the moment our shipment left our house to the day we get it at our destination. Recommended, Reliable and Professional!

These guys don't get enough recognition. Engaged RR for a move from Penang to PJ. As this was our first interstate move and first dealing with RR, I was very worried of how things would go and had many questions on my mind. The consultant was understanding and empathetic. I contacted him almost daily for a week and he listened patiently to my every concern. The entire process was gladly explained to me in detail and all my questions entertained to my satisfaction. Very helpful in easing a worried mind. The day of the move came and the crew under Mr. Vicky arrived on time, ahead of us. They waited patiently under the hot sun; not a word of complaint. The crew was courteous and pleasant to deal with. Each of them had their own role and immediately knew what to do. There was not an idle moment as the crew was skilled in handling any type/piece of furniture. Everyone was quick, efficient and coordinated. We had peace of mind watching them work as it was obvious the team was well-trained and very experienced. A pleasant surprise was their generous use of padding and packing materials. Each piece of furniture was double-, triple-padded and wrapped with layers and layers of protective materials. Very secure. I have seen a lot of companies packed or wrapped furniture in mere cling wraps, but few took the trouble to add padding for extra protection. Needless to say, all our furniture - whether wooden, with glass attachments and/or mirrors, and glass-framed decorations - every piece was accounted for and arrived in impeccable condition despite the long journey. We saw that the crew was very careful in handling our furniture, which was much appreciated. The team arrived on time the next morning for the delivery, unpacking and rearranging of furniture. Additional helpers arrived at no extra charge. Again, everyone was efficient, hardworking and knew their job well. My husband left a bunch of RM50 notes on the table, meant to be given as tips later on. A worker returned the notes to us, thinking we had misplaced them. Hats off for the honesty. All in all, extremely glad to have engaged RR's services. Shout out to Mr. Vicky and the hardworking team under him. It was pleasant to have experienced this level of professionalism for a very reasonable price.
