β β β β β Rumah yg mula dibina pada 1933 & siap sepenuhnya pada 1937 dgn kos sebanyak $30,000 (ketika itu).
Rumah yg unik berbumbung limas bungkus dan bertanduk kerbau (unsur tradisi binaan Jambi) dgn pengaruh seni bina Islam, Inggeris, Melayu Johor dan sedikit pengaruh Melayu Terengganu.
Di sebelah rumah tersebut terdapat sebuah masjid yg dibina oleh Engku Haji Mahmud pada tahun 1939 secara gotong royong.

The unique pyramid-roofed house wrap and buffalo horns (traditional element of construction Jambi) with the influence of Islamic architecture, English, Malay Johor and Terengganu Malay little effect.
