Char kuey teow with duck egg is very good. Wanton and the soup is one of the best in Taiping area. Drinks, are not to expectations and pricey

Thumbs up for fried chicken operated by Chinese husband and wife for years. The stall start at night and can order ahead by phone call. Usually there is a long wait for fried chicken. Fried keowteow is nice but the wantanmee is so so + expensive I think.

The fried chicken is definitely a winner. Be prepared to line up especially on weekends and really no thanks to its cheap price and fetch out of the fryer chicken. There's also a good char koey teow just opposite the stall which is definitely worth a try.

The Pokok Assam fried chicken is a must try and you have to try your luck to get some dropping by without booking in advance. The Fried Kueh Teow next to the stall is awesome too!

Fried chicken is good but with a long waiting time. Be prepared to wait on average 40mins Fried kway tiao is 1 of the best in Taiping with duck eggs instead of chicken eggs.

A hole in the wall located nearby Pokok Asam market. Run by a friendly couple. Affordable. We came for supper. Had the duck char kway teow & wat tan hor. Latter was some of the best I've ever had. CKT was pretty good too especially the plump cockles. Good for a quick & yummy meal.
