Gave us the courage to heal and move forward. I'm very happy with programme created. As we saw a lot of positive changes in our loved one. I Just want to say that my experience here at sanctuary was excellent .I was provided the best form of one on one therapy and the recovery suport coaches were great.Santuary really helped me regain my life.the progam provided to me was on point and it kept me engaged. the family therapy and aftercare support is fantastic. I higly recommend this place to those who need their life back as i did.

When I first attended Sanctuary, I was initially confused about the positions of each person and I figured everyone was a counselor. It would have helped to clarify positions of the RSCs and Counselor so as to know who makes the ultimate decision regarding my recovery and who is more experienced in the twelve steps and workshops. The extent of miscommunication amongst RSCs and between RSCs and the Counselors is very disappointing. There were times when u guys weren't sure who are taking the clients where with medical money being short in pouches, one RSC trying to find fault with another by putting client in between, and potential clients coming to see the place resulting in us having to rush back from activity. This shows not only ineptitude and incompetency but also lack of professionalism. I love the CBT workshops, FIR IPG and many more conducted by Leng. The role playing and the emphasis on participation and sharing and ultimately honesty really helped me. I have learned a lot about the importance of being self aware about my emotions and knowing that each negative feeling will past. The concept of learned helplessness is very interesting and help me identify and avert negative situations and look out for solutions as opposed to renumerating. I am greatful for the sessions that the councilor conducted and has helped me infinitely which I will forever be greatful for. The materials that Sanctuary has in a form of AA Bible and NA book , as well as CODA readings help me significantly in seeing how others lived with addiction throughout their life and how they changed their life around. This gave me encouragement and motivation to continue the path of recovery and help me realise that staying off drugs is only the surface with importance placed on changing ones behaviour. Throughout it all I am also able to check myself before my addictive behaviour leads to using my DOC. The RSCs team was very polite, kind, and helpful and genuinely cared. Although they were some disagreements, you guys were able to look past it and work towards a common goal of getting me better and preparing me for the temptations that follows outside Sanctuary. I am truly appreciative of that. However, the planning for outing or activities were not consistent and at times punctuality is not highly regarded. It is as if that u guys are doing activities spontaneously and on a whim. Having said that, there were occasions such as go karting and archery with bookings placed well in advance. We were told about this before hand, giving me something to look forward to while promoting certainty and consistency. Finally, I had a great time learning as much as I can from each and every one of u. Your contribution towards my recovery is incommensurable and in time I hope to part this knowledge to those in recovery. I am truly, sincerely, whole heartedly appreciative for all the things you have done and apologetic for the things that u have to put up with not least my snide remarks loaded with inappropriate and sarcastic banter.

I've continued my post care in Sanctuary after finishing my primary care at solace. This was to adjust myself to the daily life routine. Having spent time at both sites and seeing their amazing work, I'm considering taking up the recovery coach program to assist others in their recovery journey.

I find that this program has helped my recovery .They provided a good facility .some of the things are proper beds with hotel like bed sheets. ,air conditioning room and not so packed rooms. during my time here they provided me with range of movies .The rooms that were used for treatment were nice and comfortable. the councilors did a great job. I felt the warmth given by him. the recovery coaches were kind and passionate. they spent the time talking to me and giving me encouragement.

Solace Academy provides talks, seminars, workshops and courses on psychological treatment and therapy, mainly in the addiction and addiction treatment field. They provide different programs which can be customised to suit the needs of the specific group understanding. They work with various hospitals, treatment facilities and agencies in the region by providing courses and relevant certification. Solace Academy runs under Solace Asia SDN BHD, also known as Sanctuary Retreat Addiction Treatment Centre in Selangor.

At first was definitely hesitant & reluctant to come and join sanctuary. As i was too afraid to leave home and be away from my family. But eventually I gave an in and decided to give it a try for 28 days. It was definitely a wonderful experience for me. I learned about communication, handling triggers, medication, thinking skill, anger management and etc. Eventually spent 3 months in sanctuary. Everyone here were very helpful in my recovery journey. The Farheem recovery couch, Nicholas councilors, nurses and cooks are very good in their respective jobs. Would like to thank everyone & I am very grateful for all the support that was given to me through my days in Sanctuary. I'll miss the game sessions at the pool...
