Absolutely misleading customer information. We informed the waitress/cashier in advance that we wanted to qualify for the complimentary cake and drink promotion using the credit card. Secret Recipe (SR) should at least mention that their complimentary cake and drink promo is specifically any cake below rm8.80 and their drink is ONLY iced lemon tea for using a Maybank Card. No mention whatsoever. Ended up ordering a cake above rm8.80.
Fine, so I agreed, and asked for an RM 8.80 cake and iced lemon tea. Guess what the store manager says? "Oh, we've already given you a gift voucher, so that's the promo. So the promo is either a voucher OR the complimentary cake/drink."
WHAT?! Where in this reputable establishment was it stated that a promo of SR's choosing can easily replace any promo that they so vividly display on the customer's dining table?
Absolutely poor customer service. Here it is, in point form:
1. Slow, nonchalant and indifferent attitude.
2. When we complained about the misinformation, the store manager just turned his/her eyes elsewhere.
Don't try anything kuey teow here. The noodles were tangy (kenyal), they'd be mistaken as rubber noodles.
