Make sure to go early for this! The taste justifies the hype. People queue for a reason ? Went there around 11.30. Had to wait in line for 30 mins, only to have them tell us that we need to come back at 2pm. Bought about 50 pieces. 10/10 would do it again.

Traditional Hock Chew gong pian, small ones (RM1.20)are with onions while the big ones (RM2.20) has minced pork. By 9:30am, the queue was at least 12. All in, it took about 30mins to get our order. It was worth the wait.

The wait is definitely long which is about 45 minutes. However, youโ€™ll be surprised by the end goal after a long wait. It is worth the wait. It is very crispy and it tastes good with onion fillings. It is also not oily and addictive. They usually sell in packs now. One pack for rm9.60 with 8 pcs gong pian. Will definitely return next time.

I was brought here by our relative and told ahead of time there would be a lineup and sure enough there was. While lining up, I was wondering how good it must be if people are here lined up down the street on a weekday when they should be in school or at work! Like all things here in Malaysia, anything that has a lineup is absolutely delicious! These pastries are light and crisp and the onion filling was fragrant and well-balanced! Definitely worth the wait! They did not have ๅ‰็‡’ filling on this particular day but still left very satisfied! A must stop every time passing through town! Particularly impressive was the fact that ALL of the staff adhered to COVID-19 protocols and best practices despite the intense heat coming from the ovens. ?
