Shouldn't there always be someone behind the counter? The number provided to call is also not in service. First day here and im already stuck at the front door waiting for the worker since i dont have an access card yet.

If you wanna join this gym, please read my exp first. Seven star gym will charge you the so called "reactivation fee" when your membership has expired more than 30 days. The staff has promised me to pay me back total 3 mths for the total lockdown during MCO2.0 and 3.0. But they didn't inform me about the reactivation fee when my membership had expired. I was informed to pay the "reactivation fee" RM150 in order to take back the compensation, which they will return us 4 mths. The manager, Kevin even told us the staff who WhatsApp us had already resigned and what she wrote was invalid. This is so unprofessional. You know what this sounds like you've bought one set of McChicken but you realise there is no french fries given and the staff asks you to pay another fees to get back what you've bought. Seriously? Not to mention, when I told the manager, Kevin that this is not our fault who caused the total lockdown and you know how he replied me? He answered this is not their fault too. So we as the customers need to bear your losses? Bro, we've paid our fee on time and we even accepted that 50% of the total lockdown months will not be returned. Now you asked us to bear this reactivation fee to get back what we've paid? So we ask you a question will you continue the membership after July when there was so much positive cases and no hope to see the gym reopening? I don't think you will do such idiot decision, right? Me and my friend have decided not to continue the conversation as it has been more than a week since my friend had visited them and discussed this issue with them. So far we still haven't get any response from them on waiving the reactivation fee and I believe they are not sincere to solve this issue. If you wanna join this gym, make sure what they promise you got the black and white. Also, get the gym's terms and conditions and read it carefully before joining. This is my personal bad experience about seven star gym. Actually the gym equipment and environment overall are quite good. Just the staff and manager are super unprofessional.

Started to come to this from last week but from what has happened today, don’t think I’ll come again. I was already excited to work out but being stopped by the reception guy for wearing sandals. Whaaat? I was literally here two days ago with the same sandals but no one has stopped me! If u guys have rules, please be consistent with it. Otherwise, u just wasted people time to come but end up, couldn’t proceed with the work out!

At first glance the gym looks passable but half of my workout motivation gone down the drain after being greeted by two seriously overweight workers at the reception. They look more suitable to run a restaurant or mini market rather than a gym. Zero professionalism . Some workout machines not well maintained.

Very bad experience. I went to Seven Star Gym Gelugor to try out their facilities. A member hogged the only seated row machine with attached weights in the gym. When first asked how long to finish, he said 20min. After I came back, he said he needed 15min more. He just sat there on the machine, playing on his handphone between sets. When asked to share the machine he refused. When brought to the staff's notice, that the member was hogging the machine against gym etiquette, the staff said there was nothing he could do and gave me a senior staff's number. The senior staff told me that he can't do anything about it and gave me the club manager's (Mr. Shah) number. Shah (who claimed to be the owner) was not concerned and thought that it was totally acceptable behaviour to use a machine as long as a member wished, told me to go to another gym and not to expect anything more from a RM70 gym. He told me that he did not care how members behave in the gym as long as there is no collateral damage. He claims to have 20 years experience in managing world class gyms and is of the opinion that there is no such thing as a gym etiquette, and that members can be inconsiderate/selfish. Would recommend to avoid this gym as it is unprofessionally managed, staff are rude and the members hog the machines.

As a walk-in patron myself, the rate pre-Covid era was around RM7 per entry, then it was increased to RM9/RM10. In February 2022, the rate was hiked up to RM15. What surprised me today (March 2022), was that the price is yet again increased to RM20, within the gap of one to two months. While I understand price inflation over a period of time, the increment of >100% may have to be justified with the enhancement of equipment/infrastructure to explain the absurd price hike. However, the improvement is yet to be seen. Number/Condition of equipment is the same as per pre-Covid time. Perhaps the service has been improved after complaints by other customers (see comments below), still it doesn’t justify enough of the significant price hike. For walk-in customer, you may have to weigh in the rationality of joining a passable (emphasize on this!) gym at the rate of RM20 per entry.
