★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shan's Pulichakeerai dishes are all a MUST TRY ! With the borders opened , my family drove to JB just a few days ago . We stopped over at Shans Banana Leaf for lunch. We wanted to try their signature Pulicha Keerai dishes and each one of us ordered a different version of the pulcicha keerai dish there . The pulichakeerai chicken is simply addictive !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is clean but the food taste below average and food very expensive.. Rm19++ for a chicken biryani not worth.. they said cook as the customer orders but the food served is cold..the curry was so watery and tasteless.. Not recommended this place...

Most of the food presentation are not good. The raasam have only contain dried oily texture around the dish. Not clean and messy too.

The food was freshly prepared and tasted similar to home cooked food, very minimal to no preservatives. They even accomondated food that was specifically requested though it was not on the menu for the day. Definitely recommended. Thank you for the great service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family have been dining here religiously since 2019, when Mr. Shan and Madam Kasturi first set up shop. Truly outstanding South Indian restaurants in JB are few and far between, but we would happily rank Shan's in the top three: the food is great, the service is attentive, and the hygiene nothing short of tip-top.
Highlights on the menu include the briyani, in both its chicken and mutton varieties; the chicken 65, made to order (!); the prawn masala, a glutton's delight; and masala tea, intensely floral. Personally, I have simple tastes and enjoy a humble meal of dal and rice - with poppadoms on the side - and the dal here is quite fragrant, too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very clean restaurant with peaceful environment. Love their 'Chai' which is Tea that served in stainless steel cups where it preserve the hotness for pretty long time. Tried their claypot mutton set which is very tasty. They have variety of briyani sets. Pulichakeerai chicken briyani and panneer rendang briyani are some of their unique menu. Their snacks are good too especially curry puffs. Ginger tea is my most favourite. Overall a must try place for the foodies.

Environment - clean with air con.
Food quality - briyani was flavorful, panipuri a delightful treat, curry fish/mutton/chicken/egg sambal were delicious although portion is quite small.
Price is average.
Service - lady owner was friendly, very hospitable and catered to all our requests. Perfect dinner to end a beautiful day out.
