★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a very bad experience selling my BMW 330e to the Sime Darby Auto Selection. I was recommended to use this establishment because I am buying a new car from Mazda Bermaz, and this is part of the “trade in” process.
The Sime agent who handled my case was efficient, and professional and he is not at fault here.
However, I believe it is the Sime corporate process that we have to go through. My recent experience with Carsome was as per advertised, you deliver your car, you get paid the same day.
As for Sime, this is the chronology.
Friday 3 Sep 2021 - All documents collected (system thumb print including Original Registration). REQUESTED FOR FAST RELEASE OF PAYMENT. Bank Transfer.
Monday 6 Sep 2021 - Car handover
Daily follow up
Friday 10 Sep 2021 - was informed that the CHEQUE was just banked in. I have no idea how this blunder happened. But again it is a big corporation that do not care about a small customer like you and me. We come and go.
Tuesday 14 Sep 2021 - cheque finally cleared in the account.
I hope you will not fall into the same hole as I did. Lesson learnt!

But after a few visits to used car dealers, I've lost my trust and think that good thing never come cheap. One day I found Sime Darby Auto Selection, I've spotted my favorite car but I was still suspicious about the "background" of the company and the car. After dealing with the company, I'm very satisfied with the conditions and the deal/car that they offered. Until the day I get my car, I'm very happy with their service, transparency and integrity. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased my Mercedes CLA here. Had a wonderful buying experience here from the get-go all the way to the car collection. I was impressed at SDAS' showroom as the cars are properly maintained, in excellent condition upon collection and the timelines is as per scheduled without any delays whatsoever. There's always the hesitance when buying from a used car dealing as we're not sure on the car's transparency and records. Fortunately, SDAS have records of all the cars in their database/tracker and are transparent enough to share details on any cars which has any accident or flood records. Edmund (the sales agent who dealt with me) deserves a special shoutout for his fast replies, friendliness/politeness, attentiveness (to answer all my queries) and was proactive when updating me on the car's status (I didn't even have to ask for any updates). It only took me 2 weeks to get my Mercedes CLA from the date when I paid the booking fee and the entire process is effortless. I would definitely recommend Edmund to everyone for his topnotch service. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wife bought an 2019 BMW X3 30i in December 2021.
Car only came out 3 weeks later as the sales guy had all sorts of excuses and i had chase him. Got the car finally on the 3rd week of January 2022 (after calling the Ara Damansara branch) and he told me that that the technician accidentally BROKE the bonnet lever when servicing the car.
Yes, and this is from an authorised BMW dealer. The salesman took a photo and said they have ordered a replacement and promised to call me once the part arrive which should be around 2 weeks max.
Today its already March 2022 and as expected, i DID NOT get the phone call.
You guys sell me a 245k car and this is the service that you give?
I am considerate enough NOT to mention your name here as i don't fancy seeing people lose their livelihood.
But yeah, check your records and you know which Black BMW X3 30i you sold in January 2022.
Take my advice people, spend your money elsewhere.
