β β β β β Tiger Head biscuit. This place open even during Chinese New Year. There are options for traditional confectionary here but they are getting more pricey as years go on. Be aware this is a small sleepy town and the roads are small and drainage are old skool so smells can either be good or bad depending on the season.

β β β β β A simple place to satisfy your cravings for the old-time biscuits only that now the biscuits are wrapped in aluminium instead of paper.

β β β β β Traditional Hokkien mooncake, not many places do this anymore. This shop has the most authentic and traditional way of baking that was passed down through his father. Besides mooncake, I love the "xiang bing"(ι¦ι€
). Must visit their outlet/factory in Teluk Intan, freshly baked and pack immediately for sale. Once I bought their kaya puff, they have to leave the cover open as the puff is still steaming hot. So delicious.

β β β β β A famous local confectioner. Signature item is Heong Peah (RM11.60 for 15), a crispy layered biscuit with molasses filling. You can also opt for the biscuit without the filling (RM7.20 for 10). They also make Kacang Tumbuk which is a sticky peanut cookie (RM4.50), and Tau Sar Peah (RM7.60). Their kaya puff is also delicious, but best consumed immediately. They also have a consignment of other local products from famous brands like Pun Chun. Other than pastries, you can also buy soya sauce, preserved lime, mee suah, and other snacks.
