β β β β β I actually quite love being in that school. People are great, most teachers are quite good but the only issue I have with the school is the canteen food. Haha, chicken rice everyday... :/ The issue with the under-average academic performance of the school is due to the quality of students they have. Some lessons can be quite slow due to most of the students finding it difficult to digest the topic(s) taught. Given better students, I would say that this school would be able to establish it's self as one of the better schools in Penang. So if you are a good student who somehow got a letter form the MOE stating that you have been placed in SMKTB, I say give this school a chance because the teachers are very dedicated and hardworking. Besides there are quite a number of Chinese teachers there too, in fact the ratio is some what around 1:2 for Chinese to non-Chinese teachers(indians and malays), which is quite high compared to other kebangsaan schools.
