★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food in a typical kampung style with attap roof. Especially the garlic steamed fish. A little pricey but compensated by the food quality. Toilet needs improving though. Be prepared to wait especially at peak hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually it is 5 stars based solely on taste but there are also a lot of other issues to consider.
Be prepared for flies swarming around your food and drinks. We were constantly waving and flicking out hands fending off the flies as we ate our lunch. Having said that the flies did not seem to bother most of the other customers. I guess this is normal in a wooded kampung style setting.
There were only 3 tables that were waiting to be served when we arrive at 1.15 pm but we had to wait nearly 50 minutes for our food. But then again the other customers did not seem to mind the interminable wait in the hot and humid restaurant.
The fried fish 'sah bee' was fresh and the sauce was delicious and unique. We had curry clams which was average.
I really dont understand the long waiting time. There were 3 cooks and a helper in the kitchen . But somehow they dont seem to be very efficient or quick - perhaps this laid back kampung style is part of the overall homely charm of this restaurant . Worth trying if you are in the vicinity but only if you have plenty of time to spare. And yes, a bottle of fly repellant would also come in handy.?
