The cave is rich in Malaysian history and culture. Lord Murugan's Statue is fascinating. Your trip here wouldn't be complete without a selfie with this Hindu deity. There are food stalls everywhere so you don't have to worry about getting hungry (the food, mostly snacks, is really cheap). The only not-so-good in this place are the monkeys. Sometimes they harass people who have food or plastic bags (they associate plastic bags with food so they will be really aggressive if you have one). I almost got attacked by an alpha male (possibly), good thing I have an umbrella to shoo him off. The management should explicitly prohibit tourists to feed the monkeys because it will worsen their behavior.

Going there is easy, we booked a city bus tour with Klook and it took us straight to Batu Caves/Temple. It is hot when we visit, but is also windy with the addition of stalls selling a variety of food and drinks.

Batu Caves are about 13 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Batu Caves is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia. It is also known as the 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Muruga as it is one of the ten most important shrines in India and Malaysia. To get to the Temple Cave, you will need to climb the steep 272 steps to the top of the Batu Caves (open daily from 7am to 7pm). You start from the foot of Batu Caves near the foot of Lord Murugan's statue.

This is an amazing temple right outside Kuala Lumpur.. Aside from its religious importance for the hindus، it is a wonderful cultural site. It is must trip, if you are in the city. There are usually festivals and events there. You will find there also the Batu caves. One can easily spend an entire day there. Highly recommend.

A beautiful Hindu temple located near to the Batu caves. In front of the establishment we can see a huge statue of Lord Hanuman . Location was picturesque thanks to the huge mountains surrounded the temple. Many Hindu devotees visit this place and we have witnessed a Hindu wedding also taken place in one of its buildings.

Amazing architecture. This is the first Temple devotees enter and pray before proceeding to go up the stairs to Lord Muruga up in the cave.
