Every devotees should visit this wonderful temple at least once if they were to pass by the temple. It is a divine full place and a wonderful place to be especially during special occasions like the Pangguni Uthiram festival, Thaipoosam festival, Skanda Shahti and Thirukalyanam festival, Vinayagar Chaturthi festival, Vijayadasami festival, Mahashivratri festival, Vaikuntha Ekadasi festival, Thirukarthigai and etc. Monthly pradosham and Shahti viratham(fast) is also celebrated. On every Monday, the temple will conduct a special pooja for Lord Markendeswara swamy(Lord Shiva) known as Somavaram and if you are lucky annadhanam (donation in the form of food) is distributed by the kind hearted devotees. Pangguni Uthiram is the most important festival celebrated in the temple and lasts for eleven days. The first day is celebrated by hosting the temple flag (kodimaram) and followed by the tenth day festival which is to be the most important festival. The highlights of the festival are the paalkudam (milk pots) carried by the devotees from the muniswaran temple near Taman Pancaran all the way to the temple as a way to fulfill their vows. Special poojas are conducted with annadhanam distributed after the Maheswaran poojai is completed. At night, Lord Subramanya with his consorts goddess valli and goddess devanai decorated beautifully by the priests would head the town in a chariot to bless all the devotees. The chariot is usually decorated with lights and garlands and hundreds of devotees would flock to get the blessings from the Lord and get a glimpse of the chariot. Besides that, Skandha Shahti too is celebrated for six days to commemorate the victory of Lord subramanya over demon Soorapadman and followed by Thirukalyanam (celestial wedding of Lord subramanya with his consorts goddess Valli and Devanai) the next day. To end with, the temple Committee welcomes all devotees regardless race and religion to get the blessings of Lord Thandayuthabani to have a brighter future ahead. Please take note that nei villaku or ghee lamps are not allowed to be brought from home and are only allowed to be bought from the temple which costs only RM 1.00 and would be a great contribution for the temple's future development! *1.The temple is usually busy on days like Monday,Tuesday,Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 2. On Tuesdays, devotees would recite the Skanda Sashti Kavacham and all devotees are welcomed to participate in. 3. Special poojas are conducted weekly for Lord Thandayuthabani (murugan) on Tuesdays and Fridays and prasadam will be distributed to all devotees. While on Monday, special poojas are conducted for Lord Markendeswarar (Shivan) known as somavaram. 4. The temple is open from 6.00 am till 10 am in the morning and from 7.00 pm till 9.30pm in the evening. During the tamil month of Margali (mid of December to mid of January) the temple will be open from 4.30am in the morning. 5. Donations in the form of milk, flowers, fruits, vastram (clothes for the temple deities) or money would be greatly accepted by the temple Committee. Please take note that devotees are strictly not allowed to place money or flowers on the deities. You could put the money into the temple donation box for the temple's future development and the flowers, vastram, milk, fruits and etc ought to be given to the temple priest.

Such a beautiful temple with perfect ambiance. The temple has fascinated me many times especially during the occasions like pangguni utthiram, thaipoosam and skanda sashti which are important rituals in the temple. The temple presiding deity is Lord Thandayuthapani. The idol of the Lord himself is really unique because the Lord holds a vel instead of thandam which is a norm of the deity of Thandayuthapani. They have facilities such as private car parking, temple Hall with air conditioning and notably it is wheelchair accessible. Overall it is a must visit temple.
