KTM Komuter has been consistently contributing to the train route map in Malaysia. It was established in 1995 to provide a convenient local rail service throughout Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas of the Klang Valley. Since then, the KTM Komuter service has been an indispensable part of the Klang Valley public transportation system. A significant addition to the train route map in Malaysia, the KTM Komuter has been reliably serving millions of passengers every year. The KTM Komuter route map is comprised of two main lines which are the Seremban and the Port Klang Line. These two lines provide a comprehensive coverage on areas in the Klang Valley. While having a significantly lesser coverage during its early years, the KTM Komuter route map has expanded to facilitate the rapid growth and development in the Klang Valley. While both lines serve primarily different regions in the Klang Valley, there are four major interchange stations available so that passengers are able to gain extensive access to all locations. These are the Putra, Bank Negara, Kuala Lumpur and KL Sentral Stations. One notable fact is that the KL Sentral Station is the primary transportation hub where passengers can gain easy access to other public transport lines.

We wanted to buy train tickets with KTM for a day trip to Perlabuhan Klang. At first, you can't buy tickets using the ticketing machines. We tried to purchase the ticket through the KTM ticket counter. The employee was not friendly and helpful, and was also not willing to communicate a single word. Her way of communication was her calculator, showing how much money we need to pay. It was a pure discrimination of our skin colour and religion as we were not wearing any head scarf as female! The willingness to show respect was zero. Please avoid this unfriendly and discriminating company. That's my advice to everyone. Is religious and racial discrimination allowed in Malaysia?!

I was in rush to take train to pel.klang just now because i dont have enough change i asked the female staff to reload my ktm card.. But she was talking rude and ask me to reload my card at the self service machine.. Is it too lazy to do your responsibility as a staff there..? Very bad experience at this ktm station

One of the most affordable, but slow, public transportation in semenanjung Malaysia. The KL Sentral station and platforms are clean. The trains are often not on time when they arrive at the platforms. Buying a ticket using TNG card is the most efficient and fasters way as sometimes the counter is awfully slow.

Took the ets from kl to penang. Was on ets platinum. Train T9317. Views were nice, train was clean, staff were polite and timing to was very accurate. Even between stations. For Malaysian standards, it really is very good. Ticket price was around RM70 and the whole experience was quite nice and value for money. Added a few photos of sceneries between kl and penang.

β€œPolice” manning the temp check or scanning stations are RUDE and LAZY. No clear sign on where to exit or enter. Wanted to exit and accidentally walked at the enter path. Malay β€œPolice” shouted to turn around and walk through the other side while just sitting down playing his phone. Does it make sense? I was exiting, there was no one entering, and there was no need to scan anything. Ridiculous and plain dumb. Instead of having 3/4 β€œpolice” gather around that scanning counter chatting and playing your phone, why not station someone at the entrance and exit to guide the travellers. Productive things to do if you are so strict on where to exit and enter :) Just things to note when you visit KL sentral~ do not recommend

The train service is very slow, but afforable or much cheaper if you go far. The price is much cheaper than grab but be prepared it takes you an hour or over an hour to arrive to your destination. For example,if you take grab,it takes you around 20-30 mins from KL Sentral to Shah Alam. The station has 4 platforms in the station and goes to diffrent direction. The schedule you checked on Google map isn't correct, better to check their own website also get to the train station early to check the signs which is the most correct. Asked the staff at KTM counter, she said the online schedule isn't correct. You could get a KTM card,TNG card or pay by cash for the ticket. The train consists a section which is woman only.So for those who are more comfortable to sit around with woman. Usually it is less crowd than the other sections.
