Dinner with my family at Sumi Nabe Steamboat, our favorite restaurant. They serve healthy food. Missed this steamboat food after one week eating Indian food for more a week in India. The service is great and value for money. Ample parking. Highly recommended if you game for healthy wholesome foods.

They’ve just moved to HARTAMAS! Experience Japanese style steamboat! Step 1: don’t order too much with steamboat dishes. Step 2: MUST!! Order the rice, become porridge Step 3: try their dessert with soya milk!! Yum yum yum!! Step 2 or step 3 not in the menu! Only regular customer will know, and the boss very friendly, she will cook for you!

Food is fresh, chicken soup base is sweet, clear and healthy (doesnt taste like soup from other hotpot restaurants where it is too salty). Service is good too! Highly recommended for family gathering meal. Will return for sure!

It was a good experience at the start. Except the below: 1. We ordered the RM120 set and we found that they missed out a plate of ingredients which included 4 X prawns, 4 X abalone slice, 4 X pork ball, 4 X slice Japanese tofu. They seek our approval to replace a plate of glutinous ball which cost RM20. We rejected this suggestion. Due to a plate of 6 X prawns is RM30, a place of 8 slice abalone is RM30, and so on. It is not worth it. 2. We ordered their famous glutinous ball dessert. They bring up the pot filled half with soya milk and we waited for it to boiling. Only they put in the glutinous ball after numerous chasing for the ball. The soya bean wasn't fully cover up the glutinous ball and the ball did not fully cook at the last. Their service is super slow. It is shortage of manpower. The youngster are trying their best to fulfill our order. We asked many times for the porridge cooking, bowls for the glutinous ball and food to serve.

Visited on 13/3/2021, 2pax Very authentic Japanese steamboat that uses claypot and charcoal. Ingredient is fresh. It comes in a set with various ingredients, there's also ala carte to add on. The specialty of it is that, soup is made out of dashi broth along with the sweetness of cabbage and pork slices. After finishing, add rice into the remaining broth to make congee. Just like how the Japanese have it. ? The also have eat all you can promotions occasionally. So do follow their Instagram and Facebook for more details and updates. Service: great service tho waitress night get alil busy during peak hour ?? Price: Looking at the quality of food, it's worth the price. Overall rating: 5/5 ⭐

(Visit date: 26 Feb 2022) Took the RM120 set that feeds 3-4 pax. The set came with prawns, abalone slices, pork slices, various fish & pork balls, tofus, veges, mushrooms, deep fried bean curd & noodles. Everything was really fresh especially the prawns and pork slices and we’re also very surprised by the size of the prawns cos they were huge! ? The chicken soup broth tasted very “clean” and healthy, didn’t (or barely) taste any MSG in it ? So being a soup lover, I whacked la ? and as usual always end up bloating myself up with liquid. Lol I don’t think there’s much to say about steamboats in general except for the service, portions and freshness of ingredients, this place nailed all of it! ☺️ Highlights: ✔️Porridge - So you actually have the option of swapping one of your noodles with a bowl of rice which they’d cook to make into a porridge as your “closing dish” ? Pretty interesting as I’ve never had porridge in a steamboat place before. The balance of your broth will be used as the base to cook the porridge and it’s really tasty! The sweetness from all the ingredients earlier adds a beautiful flavour to it ? If you want to keep all of your noodles cos you’re such a noods fan, just add RM3 for that bowl of rice ? ✔️Tong Yuan (glutinous rice ball) - Finish off your meal with some of their silky smooth tong yuan. There’re 3 flavours - peanut, black sesame and red bean. I’m not a fan of tong yuan but I must say that I really enjoyed these ones! ? They’re super smooth and just the right chewiness, so good! The broth/sauce? idk what you call it, is soy bean.

Located above the ice cream bar. Charcoal hotpot. Soup base and porridge are very good. Ingredient selection may be limited. Good service.

LOVE their broth which was super clean, flavourful, sweet and highly addictive. TBH I couldn’t taste like preservatives/msg in the soup at all (we refilled the soup many times as the soup was really good and addictive!). Their prawn was giant and fresh. Love their charcoal noodle too, it was super tender and chewy, I couldn’t stop eating it. Another highlight is - the staff will make congee/porridge with your leftover broth (which absorbed all the sweetness of seafood, meat & other ingredients)! LOVEEEE the porridge as it was super flavourful and SWEET !
