After ordering my curtains at the shop, I was told that an unfortunate "mistake" had been made, and that they would in fact cost 50% more. To add insult to injury, when I turned up to collect them, I was asked for an additional 3.5% credit card surcharge because my card was from overseas! I have lived in Langkawi for 10 years now and I have never been asked to pay extra at any establishment for using an overseas Barclaycard.
When I came to hang my new curtains up, they were too short because different hooks had been used! There is absolutely no excuse for this, because I had already shown them and they had measured the original curtains I asked them to copy.
