β β β β β 5 star for this restaurant! Whoever the chef/chefs are, they cooked really well. The foods were so delicious and fantastic. The tomyam is amazing. Very tasty. I still remember how does it taste. Dont forget to try the desserts too. You should really try this restaurants. The place also clean. Muslim also can eat here. Price also affordable. Staffs are helpful and kind. Highly recommended!

β β β β β Famous place to visit for having lunch and dinner which is a Chinese Muslim restaurant. Menuβs like nasi goreng and chicken chop is their main dish. But the most important is that the dish and taste are superb delicious. Itβs like of home cooking and our mom taste. Other than that, the service and staff are very fast and friendly. About the price, is not pricey but affordable. Recommended for family and friends gathering or reunion.

β β β β β Good food, and amazingly friendly waiter Joe, who helped me pick the food and adapted the amount of spice, sugar, etc., to my taste. I had the sizzling squid and fried rice with vegetables, delicious. Very local place. The only downside is that it takes quite some time to get the food, for Malaysian standards, so come with some time to spare.

β β β β β Good service. The old waiter name Uncle Joe is very friendly, helpful and can converse in English well. Cosy place. The restaurant is graded A - means it is clean. The food were okay. Ordered Belacan fried rice, Kampung fried rice, beef cili, telur dadar peria, chinese tea.
It is a nice and recommended place for lunch/dinner when you are in Kota Bahru.
I think the waiter, Uncle Joe, is the star of the restaurant!

β β β β β I went alone for dinner and was welcome really well by this gentle old man who spoke good English and made me feel at home really quick. I had a hard time choosing my meal since everything on the menu looked delicious. I opted for a seafood glass noodle platter and the meal was SO tasty ! Since I had a great experience, I told the man that I would come back with my husband which I did 2 days later. He was SO NICE with us, he recognized me and had so many questions for my husband. We again had a great dinner. This place is really cheap and well located, near the central market and bazaar, do not miss it !

β β β β β One of my favourite childhood restaurants at Jalan Temenggong, Kota Bharu. I came back to this restaurant the last few days after my last visit for more than a decade. To my disappointment, the restaurant service is very bad. I was sitting for quite a while and nobody come to serve. I go to look for someone to place an order but see just an uncle busy going around without service my table consisting of 4 persons. Looking at the situation, we understand the situation and continue to wait with patience.
After a while, still, no one come to take the order, After a few minutes, I overheard customers at another table saying the chicken chops still haven't come after a long wait. The customer walked to the counter and reminds the operator that he had waited for almost 45mins and had only been told now that the food he ordered was not available.
We realized we may have the same fate, and since we have a flight to catch, we just walk out and look for an alternative place for a meal.
Am surprised as this restaurant which is also getting a good rating on TripAdvisor provided such a bad service. However, having said that I wouldnβt pass judgment just yet on how good or bad this restaurant is. Seeing the restaurant operated by 1 person (which could be the owner himself), my hunch told me that the owner may face a staffing issue, or probably his staff is on leave, or something. I will probably pay another visit when I am in Kota Bharu (and likely be the final time if the condition is still the same)
