If you are looking for a great value Hostel with character, soul, a great vibe and delicious breakfast come here. The Hostel is located in the center and Tim will help you find the best places for food and everything else you need.

β β β β β The location of the hostel is superb. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tim is a one man show and does a fantastic job of running the hostel. He is personable and direct. The customers are the usual mix of back packers, mostly mid twenties in age and are friendly enough. A few people donβt seem
to get the distinction that Tim runs a service, but is not a servant. What distinguishes this place from many others is the opportunity to engage in a fluid community and Tim engenders this. THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY TIM.

β β β β β Tim is the best host, and - let's be honest with ourselves - he has the coolest name.
Sure, maybe there are some mosquitoes, but they are definitely offset by CATS. Then there's the breakfast... Which I'm pretty sure everyone is mentioning.
Location is great, rooms are fine, showers refreshing, amenities simple. Most of all, however, Tim gives a personal, traditional bed-and-breakfast home-stay experience where you can actually meet and chat with a local.
Highly recommended, probably 4.5 stars due to mosquito abundance. Will stay again soon enough, I'm sure.

β β β β β I stayed here in September 2018 and I loved it. Regret I didn't stay longer. Tim is an incredible host and not only opened the door for me after hours, he hung out with me and we had a great philosophical debate, man is well of calmness and zen. Let's be honest, the kitchen in this place is amazing and the breakfast he makes is just beautiful. I've never felt more at home while away. Even though you're near the historic Old Town, this place will serve all your needs. I implore you, Melaka will be great, but hang out with time it'll be superb! Also, you'll sleep soundly ?

β β β β β Cats! Kittens! And Tim, the super host with the most. He makes this place magical. He's the owner, manager, cleaner, chef, entertainer and knowledgable local. I really enjoyed my two nights there and he was very helpful with all ideas and secrets about Melacca. The breakfasts are delicious, creative and made by Tim. They go above and beyond all the other icky white bread and cold egg and instant coffee breakfasts I had in most other hostels in my 5 week trip.
Β· The hostel is a bit old and he cleans it daily, however, the paint is chipping off in places and it's just a bit grungy. It's not dirty, it's just old. A little paint and some scrubbing and polishing would go a long way. However for this price with Super Tim it's worth it :)

β β β β β I feel this is like my second home. The atmosphere is fantastic, so cozy and I love the cats so much, although they donβt love me back as much ? Tim is a rare gemstone! He lives and breathes the SunB, has elephant memory of all the guests that stayed with him, engages with everyone in a fun way and very dedicated with everyone. The conversations I had with him were both life-changing and hilarious ? absolutely loved the coffee and the breakfast, it makes you really feel like at home! Nothing like it! And the location is wonderful, so central and quiet!

β β β β β We came here just looking for a cheap place... And we left with the heart full of joy and gratitude! First of all, rooms are basic but absolutely clean and neat. Toilets could look old style of course, but they are always clean and toiletries always available. About the shower, hot water downstairs and warm water upstairs, (the warm water was absolutely enough for us in September). The living room is the perfect place where you can chill out, read a book or drink a coffee. Said that, we spent a great time here with Tim (the owner) and other guests. Tim is a very genuine person and honestly we immediately trusted in him when we saw that he takes care of 5 cats (with a true love). I recommend this place to all people that want a clean, not fancy, but really cozy place. After 7 months travelling in Asia, here we really felt like at home. Last but not least.... Tim is a great chef!!!! But all others reviews already said this.... So no doubts about the quality of the breakfast!!!!

β β β β β I like everything about this hostel, amazing location only two minutes away from the river. The room is comfortable and you have a lot of space! Tim is a good and friendly person he will host you at his place not only as a guest but also as a friend. Very respectful, kind hearted and caring!
We had so much fun together, he definitely made me feel at home + he have two beautiful kitties you can play with :D
