★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi mentai is a perfect place if you craving for a sushi at an affordable price. It's a Japanese restaurant serve no pork, no lard. Though I don't see any halal sign inside the restaurant, Muslim do patronise the shop.
The sushi came at either myr1.80 or myr2.80 priced on each plate. They do offer rice and udon meals for those who wants something other than sushi.
Expect crowded restaurant on peak hours especially lunch and dinner time, especially on weekend. The only downsize is that the restaurant tend to be rowdy and cramped with small tables. Interested foodie should check on their map, as there are few sushi mentai outlets around Johor. Visit the nearest one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff is quite polite, while I inform them the salmon fish was smell weird, they changed it for me.
In addition, the Cashier was friendly too ;) I visited more than 10 times but I leave a comment here after I visit few times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The foods taste here are just nice and numbers of verity to choose from. The price from RM1.80 per dishes and at most RM2.80 for sushi choices. There are also set menu to choose from and the foods are quite nice and affordable. Really recommended. Thanks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for lunch and dinner. I have been here twice. Since I don't eat seafood, I seldom have Japanese food. But all the dishes here look so appetizing, especially the Tori Katsu Curry Rice & comes with Miso Soup, which is one of the dishes recommended by chef. It's quite tasty and filling. Friendly and courteous staff. Food is served fast too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite place to enjoy Japanese cuisine~ Can order for self pickup through Whatsapp so no need to stand there and wait. But now Sushi Mentai is reopened for dine-in, need to wait longer for self pick-up (around 30minutes++ during peak hour)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last time I gave it 3star due to their poor service.. and I revisit there recently and feeling overall is improving. And I found they have few type shrimp sushi which susprisingly tasty! Forget to take pictures ~will add on next visit. Good location there, is free parking, and quite a lot of table space inside.
