The food is nice just as our mom home cooked meals. Bt the price is too mich, very high but the portion given is very small and not enough for the rice. Came here from Sitiawan after friends recommendation bt mayb not again

With that fact in mind, don’t be surprised to find your rice and other dishes being served on a lotus leaf instead of the quintessential banana leaf at other Indian restaurants. The dishes here are more representative of Southern Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine, which incoporates plenty of coconut oil/milk in their cooking and tending to be a little spicier as well. All the dishes boast of distinctive pungent spices that are imported from Sri Lanka. Expect prawns, fish, chicken and mutton deliciously cooked in different styles and even more mouthwatering dishes during the weekend! For the vegetarians, you’ll be pleased to find a greater variety of vegetarian dishes (from 10 to 15) here relative to other Indian restaurants. Some must-haves include the Brinjal and Anchioves Salad, which were real scrumptious while the Chicken Devil was my personal favourite from the meat section with its aromatic spices. Get their soothing cup of hot masala tea or refreshing lemon soda to complement your meal.

It's my first time trying Sri Lanka food and it was so refreshing. The selection and quality of the vegetables are delightful, enjoyed the stir-fried chilli leek tremendously. All of the dishes are cooked in clay pot which gives a depth to the flavours. The spice creep up on you halfway through the meal.

If you are looking for a break from Chinese Ipoh food this is the place to come! They are a small family run business offering a wide variety of dishes perfect for a quick lunch or family outing. Owner is very friendly and willing to explain the dishes & drinks menu

A Star for cleanliness. A Star for good food. Sri Lankan dishes. Veggies delight. A Star for unique lotus leaf platter. - Tamarai's namesake. (childhood memories of tiffin parcels) Limited capacity, so do make reservations for big group. Lunch time is crowded. Expect to pay bit more for good cooking + spices used + decent vegetables. (don't compare other restaurants veggies = yellow taugeh/ cabbage / tairu soaked cucumbers)

Went there for the first time yesterday: 1. Service was not good at all and very rough to customers like they’re serving the food for free. 2. Food (Rice+Fish Puttu+Chicken Varuval+2 Vegetables) cost us RM 21.00 per meal. 3. Ordered for drinks and they were discussing among them on who’s turn to make the drink, we waited for 15 minutes for the drinks. 4. No itemised bill provided and when we ask for details, they just input General meals (RM 21.00 x 3) + RM 11.00(Drinks) = RM 74.00 for 3 persons. Will never ever visit this place again!!!
